Study methodology included a survey of a representative sample of 30 local companies and interviews with representatives of operating oil companies and their major contractors. Results are presented in three parts: an analysis of the results of the local company survey, discussion of the oil industry's assessment of local company business practices along with suggestions for increasing local company participation, and a comparison of selected results of the survey with results from a comparable study in Nova Scotia. Interview guides used in the study are appended.
