Book excerpt: Discover Your Truths & Fulfill Your Dreams If you have ever doubted yourself, your life's path, beliefs, or questioned what is True, prepare to illuminate the path to Your Personal Truth. This is the best path. It is the one you are called for and that you must go on, or you will be left feeling unfulfilled, as if you missed out on something essential from life. We all have our unique journey to live, and nothing is more worthy than pursuing this path for yourself. The point of this book is not to impose any particular beliefs, ideas, philosophies, or Truths on you. Instead, the focus is on helping you find your truth in a way that allows you to achieve your dreams and goals. Can you think of something that you know to be True without any doubt? When you know something to be True, it becomes a deep part of your life, and you know it to be true with your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, experience, logic, and intuition, then you can get to a point where no one can take this Truth away from you. The only one who can release yourself from an old Truth that is no longer working and replace it with a new and more valid one is yourself. With Your Personal Truth, you can regain control of your life's direction and take the power you have always had but perhaps never realized, which is the power to determine what is true for you and what is not. Ultimately, Truth is a journey, not a destination. When you choose to walk this path, you will unlock deeper parts of yourself, discover your highest ideals and values, find purpose, and live by your truth with every thought and action. Internationally bestselling author I. C. Robledo discovered that his path was to seek Truth at 16 years of age. Since then, he has been searching for truth, and now he wishes to teach you how to discover Your Personal Truth. This endeavor has led to meaning, a transcendent level of awareness and understanding, self-knowledge, and the ability to focus on worthy paths and avoid false ones. Inside, you will learn to: Discover your truths, rather than waiting for someone to give them to you, which would be a mistake Identify critical values that are worth living by (with a list of 100 values to consider) Unlock the deepest parts of yourself by remembering, uncovering, recovering, discovering, and creating yourself Test your truths to see which ones are valid and which ones were just faulty assumptions Move toward the paths that lead to confidence, awareness, happiness, and growth, and move away from the paths that lead to negativity, pain, and feelings of being lost.

With this book, they break the silence and give us the immeasurable gift of their story.' Gwen Strauss, author of The Nine On 28 March 1944, Italian sisters Tati (six) and Andra (four) were roused from their sleep and taken to Auschwitz, to the infamous Kinder Block presided over by Josef Mengele, the Angel of Death. By the time Auschwitz was liberated, 230,000 children had been murdered, and the sisters were among only 70 child survivors. Throughout their ordeal in the camp and the liberation of Auschwitz, their long journey from Poland to Czechoslovakia and finally to Lingfield House in Britain, they hung on to their promise to their mother to 'always remember your name'. They never forgot they were Tati and Andra Bucci, and it was this connection to their heritage that brought them miraculously back to their parents, years later and many countries away. The sisters overcame their trauma to live long lives, bearing witness as survivors of the Holocaust. 'Always Remember Your Name is heart-breaking and yet utterly uplifting, with the fierce bond of two sisters at its heart, who survived the Holocaust to bear witness, so that none of us will ever forget.' Heather Morris, international bestselling author of The Tattooist of Auschwitz 'A valuable record of what was suffered by surely some of our youngest survivors. Insightful and illuminating, the road to recovery - with its silences, loyalties, and self examinations - is never what we might suppose.' Esther Freud, bestselling author of Hideous Kinky

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: WHO ARE YOU? WHAT DEFINES YOU? WHAT IS YOUR IDENTITY? How you answer those questions affects every aspect of your life: personal, public, and spiritual. So it’s vital to get the answer right. Pastor and best-selling author Mark Driscoll believes false identity is at the heart of many struggles—and that you can overcome them by having your true identity in Christ. In Who Do You Think You Are?, Driscoll explores the question, “What does it mean to be ‘in Christ’?” In the process he dissects the false-identity epidemic and, more important, provides the only solution—Jesus. “This book will give you an unshakeable, biblical understanding of who you are in Christ. When you know who you are, you’ll know what to do.” —Craig Groeschel, Senior Pastor of LifeChurch.tv and author of Soul Detox, Clean Living in a Contaminated World “I spent years in ministry for Christ without understanding my identity in Christ. I know now that I was not alone. When, by the grace of God, we understand who we are in Christ, everything else can crumble and we will still be standing. I highly commend this book to you.” —Sheila Walsh, speaker and author of God Loves Broken People

Book excerpt: Based on a Navy SEAL's inspiring graduation speech, this #1 New York Times bestseller of powerful life lessons "should be read by every leader in America" (Wall Street Journal). If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed. On May 17, 2014, Admiral William H. McRaven addressed the graduating class of the University of Texas at Austin on their Commencement day. Taking inspiration from the university's slogan, "What starts here changes the world," he shared the ten principles he learned during Navy Seal training that helped him overcome challenges not only in his training and long Naval career, but also throughout his life; and he explained how anyone can use these basic lessons to change themselves-and the world-for the better. Admiral McRaven's original speech went viral with over 10 million views. Building on the core tenets laid out in his speech, McRaven now recounts tales from his own life and from those of people he encountered during his military service who dealt with hardship and made tough decisions with determination, compassion, honor, and courage. Told with great humility and optimism, this timeless book provides simple wisdom, practical advice, and words of encouragement that will inspire readers to achieve more, even in life's darkest moments. "Powerful." --USA Today "Full of captivating personal anecdotes from inside the national security vault." --Washington Post "Superb, smart, and succinct." --Forbes

Download or read book Never Forget 911 written by Laura Howard and published by . This book was released on 2006 with total page 176 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Letter from the Author I have been working on this book which is very dear to me, along with having the satisfaction of the finish project, being prove I can honesty say I wasn't sure if I could really even accomplished this. But the finish project says something very much opposite that's why all the more I complete the bigger space in my heart I got for this book. It's a book about the tragedy surrounding the September 11 2001 attack in our own country. I collected so much needed information pertaining to the terrorist attack September 11, 2001. There is not anything like this. But you will find quite a few on the topic but it won't all be in one book. And the little children won't be able to under stand what is going on in their world. My book contains most wanted, names of the victims that lost their lives. Faith much more information is in the book of about 500 pages. That leads me to the title of the book "Never Forget" secondary title "Always Remember." I know that you will just love this book. What a special treasure to have in remembrance of the September. 11, 2001 a book full of colorful bright pages. I can honesty tell you that I have completed what I set out to do Over the last four in a half years I've been dedicated to this project that I've felt I needed to complete not only for me, but for many other people just like me out in the World. The more I completed the stronger the urges were for me to share this project with as many people as I could touch in one way or another. I wanted as many as possible to review this book maybe give a good or even bad review, So they can have the knowledge of why we're at war and secondly and most importantly that all those affected by the tragedy that their names will not go in vain or never be forgotten. I know there are hundreds of thousands of people out in our world who feel the same as I've felt since that tragic day back on September 11, 2001.Therefore I started the book as a scrapbook for my daughters to be able to share with their kids. I was inspired by dad whom has done one on WWII but back than there wasn't the acid free paper as there is today. He had lost all pages due to that fact. I felt so bad that all his hard & dedicated work was gone forever. My Father whom lost his life 8 months before this event has inspirer me to do this for him, and others like him. I've been so dedicated to my work that's pertaining to all those tragic events surrounding Sept.11, 2001 will never be forgotten.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Among the jumble of paperweights, plates, typewriters and general bric-a-brac in Mr Nakano's thrift store, there are treasures to be found. Each piece carries its own story of love and loss - or so it seems to Hitomi, when she takes a job there working behind the till. Nor are her fellow employees any less curious or weatherworn than the items they sell. There's the store's owner, Mr Nakano, an enigmatic ladies' man with several ex-wives; Sakiko, his sensuous, unreadable lover; his sister, Masayo, an artist whose free-spirited creations mask hidden sorrows. And finally there's Hitomi's fellow employee, Takeo, whose abrupt and taciturn manner Hitomi finds, to her consternation, increasingly disarming. A beguiling story of love found amid odds and ends, The Nakano Thrift Shop is a heart-warming and utterly charming novel from one of Japan's most celebrated contemporary novelists.
