No longer would this trip be on hot tarmac though, this one was on a paper trail. The title of my book'I Did and You Can Too' I hope will encourage an aging female population that dreams are there for the making. My career began in my early 40's and now into my late 60' I have toured throughout the United States and Canada as well as Europe. North American trips were the best but riding in Europe took on a whole new dimension of what I called freedom. The Alps and Dolomites gave me a new appreciation of what I searched for but with that came an appreciation of what I call normal in my life. My driving force has aways been curiosity and after various aspects of my travel I am now able to reconnect. Woman of all ages and occupations were my traveling companions and I am priveleged to call them friends. The book consists of memories, photographs and anecdotes telling a tale of person evolution, adventure while overcoming adversity and fear. The stories all played out while on various bikes rented in Europe and Gold Wings in America. I belong to the oldest ladies motorcycle club in North America, the Motor Maids Inc and belonged to the International Motorcycle Touring Club based in England for many years. I have read various stories at meetings, presented slide programs at the camera club and public schools and have had articles published in Club Magazines in America and the U.K. I am proud to say I have been a spokes person for women riders throughout my riding career. I have been fortunate to have a supportive husband, Frank, throughout the years of riding. We live on a farm in the Golden Horseshoe area around Niagara Falls Ontario. I, ve had two children and now have a total of nine grand children.I am also an upholsterer who enjoys photography. Writing was a long time coming and this book was a joy to put together.
