Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 3:12 Transformation will usher in hope and identity to the hearts which follow this divinely outlined message. Through twenty-six chapter-3-verse-12 excerpts from the Bible, the reader is walked through four phases which are necessary to overcome addictions, resentments, obstacles, and bondages that restrain us from fulfilling a life of joyful purpose. 3:12 Transformation contains Gods words of grace and power that can transform our thinking and priorities into destiny and direction. The verses emphasize surrender of our burdens to the mercy, forgiveness, and guidance of our Heavenly Father. Believe in that surrender and hope through faith in the words and promises spoken to us through the Bible and Jesus Christ. Then, with a new mentality, we must learn to live in our calling and purpose which only each one of us individually can fulfill as Gods perfect creation and masterpiece. Finally, we are encouraged to proclaim this hope for those around us to see and hear. 3:12 Transformation acts as a catalyst to reveal the truth and faith needed to not only accept our Heavenly Fathers hopes for us, but to guide us into our true identities. 3:12 Transformation was revealed to William Lee Ioerger on November 29th, 2010 at 3:12 a.m. Since that glorious revelation, 3:12 Transformation has been birthed into a ministry, book, and Holy-Spirit-led tool that has set hearts free from various strongholds as well as challenged believers into acceptance of purposeful ministry and service.

Or have your actions, victimization, and failures from your all too haunting past been more than you can endure? Have years of searching and attempting to change your life for the better merely left you more empty, broken, and desperate than ever before? In 3:12 Transformation, author W.L. Ioerger shares the amazing story of the new life, hope, and peace God longs to give all of us through the transformation outlined in the Bible. Ioerger openly shares his personal transformation from a broken, lost, and desperate alcoholic into the man God calls all of us to become. This is not just another story of an alcoholic who has chosen to stop drinking; this is an amazing story of a broken man whom God chose to give a message to on the morning of November 29, 2010, which would forever alter the course and purpose of his life. Through twenty-six examples of chapter 3 verse 12 excerpts from the Bible, this book explains exactly how much God loves each and every one of us, the forgiveness and mercy He has in store for us, and the great joy and peace He unyieldingly gives to us.

Book Elites and Classes in the Transformation of State Socialism

Download or read book Elites and Classes in the Transformation of State Socialism written by David S. Lane and published by Transaction Publishers. This book was released on 2012-09-25 with total page 231 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The year 2011 marks the twentieth anniversary of the end of the Soviet Union. This may be an appropriate time to evaluate the adoption by previously state socialist societies of other economic and political models. The transition has sometimes been described in positive terms, as a movement to free societies with open markets and democratic elections. Others have argued that the transition has created weak, poverty-stricken states with undeveloped civil societies ruled by unresponsive political elites. Which is the more accurate assessment? David Lane examines a few of the theoretical approaches that help explain the trajectory of change from socialism to capitalism. He focuses on two main approaches in this volume—elite theories and social class. Theories dwelling on the role of elites regard the transformation from socialism to capitalism as a type of system transfer in which elites craft democratic and market institutions into the space left by state socialism. Lane contrasts this interpretation with class-based theories, which consider transformation in terms of revolution, and explain why such theories have not been considered the best way of framing the transition in the post-socialist states. While recognizing that elites can play important roles and have the capacity to transform societies, Lane contends that elite theories alone are inadequate to explain a system change that brings free markets. In contrast, he proposes a class approach in which two groups characterize state socialism: an administrative class and an acquisition class.

Book The Transformation of Moravian Bethlehem

Download or read book The Transformation of Moravian Bethlehem written by Beverly Prior Smaby and published by University of Pennsylvania Press. This book was released on 2016-11-11 with total page 292 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Moravians who settled Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in 1742 were committed to a society centered around missionary work. To free their missionaries from the need to earn a living, they formed a communal economic organization in which all workers gave their labor to the community in exchange for food, shelter, and clothing. To encourage each individual's religious development, family ties were deemphasized and members of the same sex, marital status, and age slept, worked, and worshipped together. After 20 years, the worldwide Moravian Church, facing a financial crisis, ordered Bethlehem to reorganize into a traditional community of nuclear families. It was hoped that, under this more conventional arrangement, Bethlehem could be expected to help pay the huge debts of the parent church. In The Transformation of Moravian Bethlehem, Beverly Prior Smaby traces the effects of this change on Bethlehem's Moravians, demonstrating how it altered even the most intimate aspects of their lives. She analyzes the unusually accurate marriage, birth, death, migration, and census records to assess the demographic response to institutional change. She traces change in cultural norms through unique technical analyses of biographies which were read at a variety of Moravian gatherings. Within 100 years, Smaby asserts, Bethlehem grew from an egalitarian communal society of symbolic Brothers and Sisters into a privatized community of socially stratified families whose cultural ideal was no longer religious service but usefulness to family and society. Scholars of American history and folk life will find this book a valuable addition to literature on community history, social change, and historical methods. Church historians will benefit from its in-depth study of secularization on a personal level, and it will be of keen interest to members of the Moravian Church.

Book Moral Transformation

  • Author : Andrew J. Wallace
  • Publisher : Bridgehead Publishing
  • Release : 2011
  • ISBN : 1456389807
  • Pages : 331 pages

Download or read book Moral Transformation written by Andrew J. Wallace and published by Bridgehead Publishing. This book was released on 2011 with total page 331 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Recent scholarship has challenged post-Reformation ideas about the early Christian doctrines of salvation. This ground-breaking book draws together the conclusions of recent scholarship into a compelling and clear view of the early Christian paradigm of salvation. It presents the case that the early Christians focussed not on Christ's death on the cross or 'saving faith', but on moral transformation. They saw Jesus as God's appointed teacher, prophet, and leader, who died as a martyr in order to teach them a new way of life. Their paradigm of salvation centred upon this way of life taught by Jesus, and on following faithfully his example and teachings. Part 1: 'How the Gospels present Jesus' explores the way in which the early Christians understood the teaching of Jesus. It highlights five themes of Jesus' message: economics and wealth, moral purity, social equality, the temple system, and physical and spiritual affliction. It shows why people viewed Jesus as a divinely appointed teacher, prophet, and leader, and saw his death as a martyrdom for his cause and movement. Part 2: 'Doctrines of the early Christians' presents the key early Christian doctrines of salvation and shows why several post-Reformation doctrines conflict with their views. It shows that the early Christians believed God's final judgment is made on the basis of character and conduct. They believed that by following Jesus and transforming their lives morally, they would obtain positive judgment and resurrection. This part shows how the early Christians' ideas of faith, justification, forgiveness and grace all fit into this paradigm. Part 3: 'The importance of Jesus' looks at why the early Christians considered Jesus so significant; they focussed on the moral transformation he brought to their lives. This part highlights what they believed Jesus achieved for them, and how they used sacrificial language to explain these beliefs. It explores the evidence for viewing Jesus' death as a martyrdom, and for seeing his resurrection as equally important. Part 4: 'Ideas throughout history' shows that Christians held this paradigm of salvation for several centuries. It outlines the key changes that occurred from the 4th century through to the Reformation, which moved tradition away from the early Christian ideas. Finally, it offers a critique of modern post-Reformation doctrines of salvation.

Book Great Expectations Slow Transformation

Download or read book Great Expectations Slow Transformation written by Manuela Moschella and published by ECPR Press. This book was released on 2014-07-01 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: n the aftermath of the financial crisis, why has the reform process been incremental yet the conditions for more rapid and abrupt transformations appeared to be available? Is there anything specific about financial policy that prevents more radical reforms? Drawing from Comparative Politics and Historical Institutionalism in particular, as well as International Political Economy, this book answers these questions by examining the particular institutional frictions that characterise global financial governance and influence the activity of change agents and veto players involved in the process of global regulatory change. The chapters in this volume collectively demonstrate that the process of change in financial rule-making as well as in the institutions governing finance does not fit with the punctuated model of policy change. The book also shows, however, that incremental changes can lead to fundamental shifts in the basic principles that inform global financial governance.
