Book ZK SWAPS by PORTAL FAST LIQUID PRIVATE ATOMIC SWAPS

Download or read book ZK SWAPS by PORTAL FAST LIQUID PRIVATE ATOMIC SWAPS written by Chandra Duggirala and published by Portal. This book was released on 2019-10-15 with total page 29 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Portal's ZK-SWAPS white paper, available in ebook format. (Part 1 of 3) ABSTRACT: In this white paper, we unveil a multilayered system purpose-built for spot trading cryptocurrencies which allows users to trade with the speed and liquidity of centralized exchanges, but without transferring assets to a trusted third party. We call this paradigm “ZK-Swaps”. Together, the innovations described add up to every crypto user having access to a liquid, trust-minimized trading interface built right into his/her wallet. Our approach does not depend on off-chain identity of any of the participants, so from this moment on, “crypto exchange” becomes a service that any anonymous entity can provide for a competitive fee within open, transparent markets. Part 1 of this white paper describes how our cross-chain atomic swap protocol works. Part 2 describes how liquidity can be aggregated across a network of traders by homogenizing orders across trades, using order decomposition and recomposition. Part 3 describes the zero-knowledge system with proofs for order book execution. ISBN: 9780463783740 ABOUT PORTAL: https://getportal.co Portal is building the first cross-chain atomic swaps exchange architecture to enable fast trades anonymously and without a third party. Trading is conveniently built right inside Portal's non-custodial muti-asset wallet. And anyone can join the network and perform the distributed exchange functions and receive a fee.

Book Seifert Fiberings

    Book Details:
  • Author : Kyung Bai Lee
  • Publisher : American Mathematical Soc.
  • Release : 2010-11-24
  • ISBN : 0821852310
  • Pages : 418 pages

Download or read book Seifert Fiberings written by Kyung Bai Lee and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 2010-11-24 with total page 418 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Seifert fiberings extend the notion of fiber bundle mappings by allowing some of the fibers to be singular. Away from the singular fibers, the fibering is an ordinary bundle with fiber a fixed homogeneous space. The singular fibers are quotients of this homogeneous space by distinguished groups of homeomorphisms. These fiberings are ubiquitous and important in mathematics. This book describes in a unified way their structure, how they arise, and how they are classified and used in applications. Manifolds possessing such fiber structures are discussed and range from the classical three-dimensional Seifert manifolds to higher dimensional analogues encompassing, for example, flat manifolds, infra-nil-manifolds, space forms, and their moduli spaces. The necessary tools not covered in basic graduate courses are treated in considerable detail. These include transformation groups, cohomology of groups, and needed Lie theory. Inclusion of the Bieberbach theorems, existence, uniqueness, and rigidity of Seifert fiberings, aspherical manifolds, symmetric spaces, toral rank of spherical space forms, equivariant cohomology, polynomial structures on solv-manifolds, fixed point theory, and other examples, exercises and applications attest to the breadth of these fiberings. This is the first time the scattered literature on singular fiberings is brought together in a unified approach. The new methods and tools employed should be valuable to researchers and students interested in geometry and topology.

Book Geostatistical Reservoir Modeling

Download or read book Geostatistical Reservoir Modeling written by Michael J. Pyrcz and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2014-04-16 with total page 449 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Published in 2002, the first edition of Geostatistical Reservoir Modeling brought the practice of petroleum geostatistics into a coherent framework, focusing on tools, techniques, examples, and guidance. It emphasized the interaction between geophysicists, geologists, and engineers, and was received well by professionals, academics, and both graduate and undergraduate students. In this revised second edition, Deutsch collaborates with co-author Michael Pyrcz to provide an expanded (in coverage and format), full color illustrated, more comprehensive treatment of the subject with a full update on the latest tools, methods, practice, and research in the field of petroleum Geostatistics. Key geostatistical concepts such as integration of geologic data and concepts, scale considerations, and uncertainty models receive greater attention, and new comprehensive sections are provided on preliminary geological modeling concepts, data inventory, conceptual model, problem formulation, large scale modeling, multiple point-based simulation and event-based modeling. Geostatistical methods are extensively illustrated through enhanced schematics, work flows and examples with discussion on method capabilities and selection. For example, this expanded second edition includes extensive discussion on the process of moving from an inventory of data and concepts through conceptual model to problem formulation to solve practical reservoir problems. A greater number of examples are included, with a set of practical geostatistical studies developed to illustrate the steps from data analysis and cleaning to post-processing, and ranking. New methods, which have developed in the field since the publication of the first edition, are discussed, such as models for integration of diverse data sources, multiple point-based simulation, event-based simulation, spatial bootstrap and methods to summarize geostatistical realizations.

Book Zoroastrian Scholasticism in Late Antiquity

Download or read book Zoroastrian Scholasticism in Late Antiquity written by Arash Zeini and published by Edinburgh University Press. This book was released on 2020-03-02 with total page 432 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Examines Zoroastrian exegesis by investigating a late antique translation of an ancient Iranian textChallenges the view that considers the study of the Zand an auxiliary science to Avestan studiesViews the Zand of the YH as a text in its own right and investigates it within the wider Pahlavi leiteratureConsiders the so-called glosses in the Zand for the first time as an integral part of the textOffers a variorum edition of the Middle Persian text, refusing to establish an UrtextIn late antiquity, Zoroastrian exegetes set out to translate their ancient canonical texts into Middle Persian, the vernacular of their time. Although undated, these translations, commonly known as the Zand, are often associated with the Sasanian era (224-651 ce). Despite the many challenges the Zand offers to us today, it is indispensable for investigations of late antique exegesis of the Avesta, a collection of religious and ritual texts commonly regarded as the Zoroastrians' scripture.Arash Zeini also offers a fresh edition of the Middle Persian version of the Avestan Yasna HaptaA hA iti, a ritual text composed in the Old Iranian language of Avestan, commonly dated to the middle of the second millennium bce. Zeini challenges the view that considers the Zand's study an auxiliary science to Avestan studies, framing the text instead within the exegetical context from which it emerged.

Book System Dependability Evaluation Including S dependency and Uncertainty

Download or read book System Dependability Evaluation Including S dependency and Uncertainty written by Hans-Dieter Kochs and published by Springer. This book was released on 2017-11-14 with total page 398 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book focuses on system dependability modeling and calculation, considering the impact of s-dependency and uncertainty. The best suited approaches for practical system dependability modeling and calculation, (1) the minimal cut approach, (2) the Markov process approach, and (3) the Markov minimal cut approach as a combination of (1) and (2) are described in detail and applied to several examples. The stringently used Boolean logic during the whole development process of the approaches is the key for the combination of the approaches on a common basis. For large and complex systems, efficient approximation approaches, e.g. the probable Markov path approach, have been developed, which can take into account s-dependencies be-tween components of complex system structures. A comprehensive analysis of aleatory uncertainty (due to randomness) and epistemic uncertainty (due to lack of knowledge), and their combination, developed on the basis of basic reliability indices and evaluated with the Monte Carlo simulation method, has been carried out. The uncertainty impact on system dependability is investigated and discussed using several examples with different levels of difficulty. The applications cover a wide variety of large and complex (real-world) systems. Actual state-of-the-art definitions of terms of the IEC 60050-192:2015 standard, as well as the dependability indices, are used uniformly in all six chapters of the book.
