Book excerpt: For many centuries, Qigong has been seen as an ancient Chinese art of health improvement and self-regulation, capable of helping people overcome illness, prolong life, gain physical and spiritualstrength, and develop a deeper knowledge of the world around them. A way of life in its own right, it has been an essential part of Chinese culture and philosophy since ancient times. It has helped people achieve harmony, gain serenity, and grow in wisdom. Zhong Yuan Qigong (ZYQ) is such an ancient practice. This school represents the highest levels of Qigong. It forms a solid system of knowledge and methods designed to allow us to normalize our physical and mental state, increase creativity, and foster spiritual growth. It helps us to leap from an ordinary state into the state of a human with special abilities that lead to the development of individual and evolution of human race. ZYQ includes elements from most other schools of Qigong. This eclecticism frees it from any set of religious beliefs or ideological goals. As a result, it is acceptable to people of all religious persuasions. The system is based on fundamental elements common to all living organisms, such as energy channels, biologically active points (BAPs), and Yin-Yang theory. Its learn-and-master process does not require any changes in dietary patterns, pace of living, or work habits. Its primary concern is the improvement of health. It is only after this has been achieved that it focuses on the development of special abilities. Its exercises are suitable for people of all ages-from children to the elderly. The practice of this system helps people become immune to stress, and achieve inner balance, optimism and, of course, good health. Many elements of Qigong practice are similar to those usedin other healing and spiritual traditions on different continents of our planet. Perhaps they all have their roots in the same universal knowledge;the same, because there are the same laws of physics, physiology, and biochemistry that govern all living beings on our Earth. It establishes the foundation for your initial jump into a deeper knowledge of yourself. It opens the gates to a new reality and allows you to understand that you are a part of the Universe-a cosmic being. This practice will activate the resources for improving your health and allow you to view the world and your place in it in a different light. You will discover additional channels of perception beyond the five known senses, and you will find a completely new method of learning known as knowledge transplantation. You will experience different structures of Qi and be able to regulate them through your consciousness. But, first and foremost, you will learn to relax-not only at the physical level, but also in your mind and consciousness. Without relaxing your mind-by no means, an easy task-it is impossible to develop further. Practicing Qigong can help us realize that all living creatures in the universe constitute a whole, and that the Universe is a living organism of which we are a part. Similarly, our planet Earth is alive, just like us. Qigong helps us understand the relationship between the whole and its individual parts, while enabling us to establish a connection between them. In order to understand how to maintain good health, we need to comprehend the nature of life and the various forms that it is capable of taking. For this purpose, we can say that Qigong is a branch of science designed to deal with the very notion of Life and its roots. Through its use, the practitioner can enhance the quality of his or her life and look forward to a brighter future.

The methods of ZYQ allow a human improve one's health, reach longevity and increase the quality of life. Currently, the oldest system of self-regulation, self-recovery and human development Zhong Yuan Qigong has been so widespread in different countries that each person has no ability to attend seminars and workshops by Mingtang Xu. That is why such form as Retreat was established for a deep and intensive practice. It was named Retreat because students should come during such practice into a State of relaxation and peace of mind, so it is also a good rest.At first such form was used only in Shaolin (China). Students entered that place with pleasure and from all over the world. But the number of participants was limited by different factors, such as: the limited quantity of rooms in a hotel and seats in a restaurant; the limited area for lectures and practice; the necessity to get visa and too long practice (from three to four weeks). Not many people can leave their day-to-day affairs for such a long time. Besides, a long trip met financial difficulties. In order to make such training as accessible as possible to many people Mingtang Xu started short retreats (from five days to two weeks) in different cities and countries: in the former Soviet Union, in Western Europe and the United States. The first such a week-long retreat held in January 2003 in a rest zone near Moscow. It gathered, mainly those who already knew what is such practice of Zhong Yuan Qigong (ZYQ) and who had previously attend Shaolin retreats by Master Xu. That had defined a program of Moscow retreat. It was focused on the State of the pause, the methods of its achievement and obstacles on the way to the Pause state. There were lectures on the levels of development of Shen; how to reach the level of souls departure; what is transcendental energy; where is the source of our desires; how our emotions are formed and what causes them; what is the eye of mind, etc. The exercises and meditation were also given there on all the topics. The next retreat was held in Kiev. Here practitioners were acquainted with the East ideas about the life of a human with his endless reincarnations in the six worlds controlled by Yama. By reading this book you can learn how it is connected to the positive and negative karma of a human.Practicing the proposed exercises you will be able to experience yourself what is the inherent nature of human beings. You will learn about the stages of spiritual development; meet with the origins of our desires, and how our emotions are generated. You will understand the ways how to avoid emotional trauma and how to purify your heart and mind, if you had such situations earlier. The collection contains material about the Yin and Yang cells; about the Third Eye and its training; about the development of informational channels and the Path to Enlightenment. On each topic you will find different methods of practice and meditation. The information, which the participants get during such retreats are different from the usual seminars on ZYQ. Students get the understanding of different approaches to their practice and a completely new view at familiar material. Qigong practitioners can use this book to be acquainted with new information and to practice the exercises. For the other categories of readers this book can widen the horizons of perception of the world and helps to see well known things from a different angle. The book is intended for both general readers, as well as Qigong practitioners.

This development is supposed to transform you in such a way that you'll be able to move to a qualitatively different level of life. To understand and do more, we must understand ourselves. This requires investigating ourselves. After all, many mysterious things and questions that remain unanswered are connected with us. For example, what is the energy that we employ to help ourselves and others? What are our dreams, and why in many situations are they things that inform us about the future? Why do some people suddenly recall a previous life of theirs and begin speaking a different language? Why are we able to dream about our deceased relatives and interact with them? Do we understand what Life is, what being alive is? Do we know where the boundary line of Life passes and whether there is, in general, such a line? And what niche in this Life is allotted to humans? Furthermore what, generally speaking, are the levels of Life? Humans represent a reliable, multifunctional research laboratory with truly unlimited possibilities. All that's required is the knowledge necessary to utilize this laboratory. Here's an instructive Chinese tale: In a well there lived a frog. It was known for saying, "I know how vast the sky is, and I know how much water there is." One day the frog climbed out of the well and headed toward the sea. But it lost its mind because it saw how huge the sky was and how much water there was. Therefore humankind can take one of two routes: (1) never go anywhere, never familiarize yourself with anything new, and remain where you are, or (2) step by step, get to know this big world. ZYQ is the key than can open the doors to your own laboratory and in it switch on all necessary analyzers. At the very same time, ZYQ is a simple science of life, although Life itself is far from simple. ZYQ practice not only contributes to improving our health, and it not only expands our knowledge about the world. It also allows us to reach a qualitatively different level of Life, one independent of the physical body and the conditions of our place of habitation. This stage gives you knowledge how to develop your energy and spirit, and achieve various states of body and mind, especially the state of Pause, which paves the way for the soul to depart from your body and travel through the various worlds in the whole Universe. The book teaches the technique for activating the upper Dan Tian to open the Third Eye, the stages of development of the Third Eye, and ways to diagnose with the Third Eye's help. Book Introduction to Image Medicine

Download or read book Introduction to Image Medicine written by Mingtang Xu and published by . This book was released on 2013-07-31 with total page 52 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Image Medicine (IM) is a part of ancient Chinese Medicine and a branch of Zhong Yuan Qigong. This direction is one which explores what the human is, what the life is, and what an image is the image. This form of medicine is based on and utilizes the ability of the mind to operate images, or pictures. In this book, the reader is briefly introduced to the philosophical concepts behind the origin of images of a human and the universe as well as the practical application of these images. Here we question the reception, formation and influence of images on a human, including his physical body, energy system, and informational system. Today, IM can be applied to the scientific field. Research is being conducted on how images can be used in the realms of diagnosis, treatment, and illness prevention. Furthermore, several important Big Methods and mantras have been found to help correct and restore numerous bodily functions of a human as a life form. IM represents an unusually effective medical direction considered secret until the end of twentieth century. Like in any kind of medicine, anatomy and physiology are also researched. However, unlike normal anatomy and physiology in which the physical structure and functions of the body are discussed, here we deal with the energy and informational systems of the human. Therefore, in IM there are several stages or parts. The first part is energy medicine (energy anatomy and physiology); the second part is informational medicine (informational anatomy and physiology); the third part is dedicated to the influence of materials, such as herbs and their composition, energy, and information, on the entire body; and the fourth is all of the aforementioned combined. It is important to note that the current division is not set in stone and, in practice, all the parts are applied in certain groupings and combinations. Practitioners study the anatomy and physiology of different structures of energy (such as the energy of fog, of light, and transcendental energy) in ways similar to those of medical students studying regular anatomy and physiology.
