Just like Joshua he would have meditated on the scripture, pondering on the truths, experiences and victories of his fore fathers in times past. Thus exposing to him, to the almighty nature of his God. This revelation that; God was with him and his people, that this God is above any mortal human being, no matter how lager than life, and God covenant to preserve and multiply the nation of Israel is sacrosanct always, emboldened David to; without fear challenge and kill lions and bears, which would ordinarily be impossible to do with bare hands and a sling.Many writers pronounced that David knowing who he was, and the God of Israel being with him always, made Goliath, -an unbeliever- actually a scrawnier competition than a lion or a bear. We were taught that David's belief and the power of that believe in him, made him a giant killer.

The key is that you must stop listening to your giant and to negative voices and start listening to what God thinks about you and your situation.
