The ones that most suffered from it were the new generation of young men, but there was one that was more special than the rest. It was a young man by the name of Wilfredo, who had the chance to achive his dream, but stripped away from it when he would be forcefully drafted into the civil war. He would experience warfare like none in which he has ever known, but more importantly, he would learn of the bond of the other young men that served in the war. It is the cruel impact from the two political parties of the war and it led many young men to suffer with tremendous cost in their lives and to their country.

The book includes scenes in Morocco in 1971, and 'Essouira Peter," a Yale University graduate who had 'tuned in, turned on and dropped out," to Barbayanni in 1960s Greece.
