Book The Miraculous Language of the Qur an Evidence of Divine Origin

Download or read book The Miraculous Language of the Qur an Evidence of Divine Origin written by Bassam Saeh and published by International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT). This book was released on 2015-01-12 with total page 108 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This study illustrates why the language of the Qur'an is miraculous, unique, and evidence of divine authority. The author compares the language of the Qur'an with the language of pre-Islamic poetry, the Prophet's words (hadith), and the language of the Arabs both past and present, to demonstrate that although the Qur'an was revealed in Arabic it was at the same time an Arabic which was entirely new. Original and early Muslim audiences viewed this as miraculous and responded to the Qur'an's words, sounds, rhythms, etc. in a manner consistent with a deeper appreciation of its beauty and majesty which modern ears, trained by familiarity, and despite being surrounded by all manner of dictionaries and studies, are at a loss to capture. The author attempts to remove this veil and present the Qur'an to readers as if hearing it for the first time, to bring to life some of this wonder. In doing so he guides readers to appreciate the beauty of the Qur'an, to become more immersed in it, and to have a clearer understanding of its structure and flow. Devoting special attention to Surah Al Muddaththir, to underpin his analysis, Saeh thus brings the Revelation to life, to demonstrate that each surah has distinct features and characteristics that make it stand out uniquely within the design and sweep of the whole.

Book Muhammad the Demon Possessed False Prophet of Islam

Download or read book Muhammad the Demon Possessed False Prophet of Islam written by Jamaal Williams and published by Jesus Truth Deliverance Ministries. This book was released on 2024-04-01 with total page 361 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Woe is me poet or possessed…” — Muhammad Could it be that one of the most influential men in history have been manipulated by satanic powers? It's time to unveil the many unsavory truths about the founder of Islam, Muhammad, pulled straight from Islamic sources. One of these truths is that by all indications the prophet of Islam was demon possessed or at the very least severely demonically influenced. Muhammad's supposed prophetic career began with an encounter with a spirit entity in the cave of Hira. We read in Islamic literature that the alleged angel, Gabriel, manhandled and abused him, which left him terrorized, suicidal, and in a state of madness. This alone should raise red flags. We also read that Muhammad was put under a black magic spell, uttered the words of Satan in the infamous so-called “Satanic Verses” event, and had a demonic spirit guide or familiar spirit. Again, this is all coming from the Muslim texts! Moreover, Muhammad, including many of his contemporaries, believed he was demon possessed. Indeed, he experienced many strange physical manifestations such as twitching, foaming at the mouth, convulsing, roaring, or snorting like a camel that was falsely believed to be “divine inspirations” from the supposed angel Gabriel and/or Allah. We give an uncensored and uncompromised look at Muhammad and the religion he founded, Islam. What is read in Islamic texts is embarrassing, appalling, and downright disturbing. Much of such information that even educated Muslims are unaware of. And nothing is held back when Muhammad's deplorable morality is scrutinized. Would God, who is righteous and holy, work behind a person who sanctioned many atrocious acts and practices such as child marriage, wife beating, assassinations, torture, and sex slavery? Was Muhammad a perfect example for mankind, as many Muslims believe, when he was a racist, sexist, rapist, and religious tyrant? What is also covered is his controversial consummation of marriage to a 9-year-old girl named Aisha when he was past the age of 50 years old. What spirit was moving behind Muhammad to practice what many would consider to be gross crimes against humanity? This e-Book has a wealth of evidence that Muhammad was indeed demon possessed and thus be considered a false prophet of God. We thoroughly examine the idea of him being demonically influenced using over 500 direct quotations (all hyperlinked directly to the source) from the most authoritative Islamic sources (the Quran, authentic hadiths, tafsirs, sira literature, etc.). The idea Muhammad was demonized is not the conclusion of a mere layman in the field of demonology, but someone who has had many years of experience involved in deliverance ministry (i.e., expelling demons out of people by the power and authority of Jesus). What would be the purpose of Satan using Muhammad to found the religion of Islam? One reason is to blind peoples' minds from believing the Gospel, that Jesus is the only-begotten Son of God who died on the cross for the sins of the world, and was resurrected. Without the belief in the Gospel, there is no salvation. This e-book is targeted at all truth-seekers and is a great resource for those involved in Christian apologetics and polemics.

This book was released on 2009-11-25 with total page 297 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Under the auspices of the Association for the Study of the Middle East and Africa, Joseph Morrison Skelly brings together a team of experts to create a compelling, scholarly investigation of the interrelationship of Islam and politics. Divided into several topical sections, including early origins of Islamic politics, the development of jihad in an age of terror, and contemporary politics, Political Islam from Muhammad to Ahmadinejad: Defenders, Detractors, and Definitions is an in-depth exploration of the various dimensions of political Islam—for the international community, the Islamic world itself, and anyone who seeks a deeper understanding of this phenomenon. Download or read book Jesus and Muhammad written by F. E. Peters and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2010-11-11 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jesus and Muhammad are two of the best known and revered figures in history, each with a billion or more global followers. Now, in this intriguing volume, F.E. Peters offers a clear and compelling analysis of the parallel lives of Jesus and Muhammad, the first such in-depth comparison in print. Like a detective, Peters compiles "dossiers" of what we do and do not know about the lives and portraits of these towering figures, drawing on the views of modern historians and the evidence of the Gospels and the Quran. With erudition and wit, the author nimbly leads the reader through drama and dogma to reveal surprising similarities between the two leaders and their messages. Each had a public career as a semi-successful preacher. Both encountered opposition that threatened their lives and those of their followers. Each left a body of teaching purported to be their very words, with an urgent imperative that all must become believers in the face of the approaching apocalypse. Both are symbols of hope on the one hand and of God's terrible judgment on the other. They are bringers of peace--and the sword. There is, however, a fundamental difference. Muslims revere Muhammad ibn Abdullah of Mecca as a mortal prophet. Although known as a prophet in his day, the Galilean Jew Jesus was and is believed by his followers to have been the promised Messiah, indeed the son of God. The Quran records revelations received by Muhammad as the messenger of God, whereas the revelations of the Gospels focus on Jesus and the events of his life and death. A lasting contribution to interfaith understanding, Jesus and Muhammad offers lucid, intelligent answers to questions that underlie some of the world's most intractable conflicts.

Book excerpt: An essential and succinct introduction to the culture, history, and practices of the world's second largest religion. Next to Christianity, Islam is the largest religion in the world. One out of every six people in the world is Muslim. Like Christianity, it's monotheistic (belief in one God), it has a holy text, and an ethical or religious law. Like Christians, Muslims are devoted to religious activities like prayer and fasting. And yet, many Christians feel at a loss to understand this neighboring system of faith. Professor James A. Beverley provides answers to questions many Christians have about Islam in this short and readable book. Islam clearly lays out responses to topics such as: What Muslims think about God, the world, and their place in it. How Muhammad established a religion that now stretches around the world. How different groups within Islam define Jihad. Why Palestine is important to Muslims. What roles women play in different Islamic communities. And how Christians should relate to Muslims. Features include: Glossary of terms related to Islam A list of Frequently Asked Questions for easy reference Topical bibliography for further study

Book Thomas Jefferson s Qur an

Download or read book Thomas Jefferson s Qur an written by Denise Spellberg and published by Vintage. This book was released on 2014-07-01 with total page 418 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this original and illuminating book, Denise A. Spellberg reveals a little-known but crucial dimension of the story of American religious freedom—a drama in which Islam played a surprising role. In 1765, eleven years before composing the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson bought a Qur’an. This marked only the beginning of his lifelong interest in Islam, and he would go on to acquire numerous books on Middle Eastern languages, history, and travel, taking extensive notes on Islam as it relates to English common law. Jefferson sought to understand Islam notwithstanding his personal disdain for the faith, a sentiment prevalent among his Protestant contemporaries in England and America. But unlike most of them, by 1776 Jefferson could imagine Muslims as future citizens of his new country. Based on groundbreaking research, Spellberg compellingly recounts how a handful of the Founders, Jefferson foremost among them, drew upon Enlightenment ideas about the toleration of Muslims (then deemed the ultimate outsiders in Western society) to fashion out of what had been a purely speculative debate a practical foundation for governance in America. In this way, Muslims, who were not even known to exist in the colonies, became the imaginary outer limit for an unprecedented, uniquely American religious pluralism that would also encompass the actual despised minorities of Jews and Catholics. The rancorous public dispute concerning the inclusion of Muslims, for which principle Jefferson’s political foes would vilify him to the end of his life, thus became decisive in the Founders’ ultimate judgment not to establish a Protestant nation, as they might well have done. As popular suspicions about Islam persist and the numbers of American Muslim citizenry grow into the millions, Spellberg’s revelatory understanding of this radical notion of the Founders is more urgent than ever. Thomas Jefferson’s Qur’an is a timely look at the ideals that existed at our country’s creation, and their fundamental implications for our present and future.

Book Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him in the Bible

Download or read book Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him in the Bible written by Dr. S.M. Mohiuddin Habibi and published by Expertini Limited. This book was released on 2016-05-13 with total page 740 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The greatest hope of all the religious groups that awaited for scores of centuries with a dogma of their own Holy Books which witnessed the glory and the majesty of that personality called as 'Muhammad' and 'Ahmad' – 'the Glorious' and 'the Praised', on whom be peace and lasting blessings, which certainly got fulfilled when he finally arrived on the stage of the history. The Scriptures of the Prophets that went before him ended their tasks by heralding the tiding of his coming. Despite the textual corruption of those ancient scriptures, the golden sayings were still preserved by ALLAH, the One True God as a signpost for the honest and noble readers. The seekers of truth! Be certain of the fact that Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was the promised Prophet and the awaited saviour whom the Jews called as the King Messiah. His coming was prophesied by all the Prophets like Moses and Jesus (Peace Be Upon Them) long before his arrival, and he was also mentioned in the Old and New Testaments. Likewise, the Far East Indian scriptures never failed to mention ‘his name and praises’ which certainly constitute a miracle pertaining to him and confirming his Prophethood. In the light of the above facts, how could a man of wisdom escape from this overwhelming thought? Or will he still deny this truth? Or will he still await and hope that from Heaven angels would come and guide him when the final Message has already been delivered by 'Muhammadur Rasul ALLAH' to the creation of ALLAH in general, on whom be peace and lasting blessings? Indeed, it is ALLAH, the Lord of the worlds Who Himself calls on us to acknowledge this truth in the Holy Quran: "O mankind! The Messenger (Muhammad, on whom be peace and lasting blessings) hath come unto you with the Truth from your Lord. Therefore believe; (it is) better for you. But if ye disbelieve, still, lo! Unto ALLAH belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. ALLAH is ever Knower, Wise" - (4:170).

Book The History of the Qur n

Download or read book The History of the Qur n written by Theodor Nöldeke and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2013-05-10 with total page 692 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This first complete translation of Theodor Nöldeke’s The History of the Qurʾān offers a foundational work of modern Qurʾānic studies to the English-speaking public. Nöldeke’s original publication, as revised and expanded over nearly three quarters of a century by his scholarly successors, Friedrich Schwally, Gotthelf Bergsträsser and Otto Pretzl, remains an indispensable resource for any scholarly work on the text of the Qurʾān. Nöldeke’s segmentation of the surahs into three Meccan periods and a Medinan one has shaped all subsequent discussions of the chronology of the Qurʾān. The revisions and expansions of Nöldeke’s initial discussions of the orthography and variant readings of the text have found a new audience among those contemporary scholars who seek to create a more sophisticated understanding of the Qurʾān’s textual development.
