Book Weeds to Wisdom The Truth of God s Blessings

Download or read book Weeds to Wisdom The Truth of God s Blessings written by Gina Butson and published by Writers Republic LLC. This book was released on 2022-09-02 with total page 172 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first part of this book is a 30 Days of Thanks. A journal I kept during a difficult time in my life to give me hope and a purpose to overcome my many obstacles. To help me see all my blessings amongst the noise and the chaos. I share these examples in the hopes that you may find your thankfulness in whatever you may be going through. The second part of this book is an account of my blessings jar that I kept for a year. Writing the things down that brought me joy was my way of dealing with a trying life situation. It helped so much and enriched my life more than I could even know. Not until the day I went back and read those pieces of paper did I understand Weeds to Wisdom. What a glorious thing. When all seems lost bring yourself out of your weeds and into your wisdom! Find the blessings that enrich your life! I challenge you to take this journey with me in these pages and to write your own journal and keep your own blessings jar. My hope for you is that you come out of this experience a happier person with a closer relationship with yourself and God!

Download or read book Seeds Among Weeds written by Sadiri Ordinario and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2011-02-26 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is a hodgepodge of poems, doctrinal dissertations, letters to God, and converstions with God, usually with unorthodox formats, conveying themes that are either discoveries of mine, or what I learned from my interactions with fellow Christians, people who fancied themselves to be Christians, and non-Christians; and finally perhaps the most important distinction of all are few revelations the Lord had been nice enough to share with me. Any inaccuracies are strictly mine, particularly when I try to express in words what I have gathered from Him which in and of themselves always would have inherent inadequacies because of the disparity between the finite and the Infinite.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 2ND PETER 1: 19 And so we have the prophetic word confi rmed, which you do well to take heed as a light that shines in a dark place... There is a Light at the end of the tunnel. However, there is also a Light through the tunnel that can shine in the hearts of our understanding, which will guide us safely through the darkness of ignorance, to a place of peace, security and confidence. Although some may promise many things in the name of science and technology, there is only one light ray of hope for eternity. Even as medical research strives to prolong life, it is a short-lived hope. For as the sand in the hourglass pours through the narrow opening, so our earthly lives pour through the opening of time, because our time here is measured. Whether we face this fact or not, these bodies are destined to die. However, our spirits do not, but will live in the light of mercy or in the darkness of error for eternity. Our days here are short and our time to leave could be nearer than we think, so we should listen to the words of eternal truth. We can easily listen to all the other voices of those that stumble in the blindness of doubt, or we can follow the true Light of all hope that is willing and able to take us home, even through our darkness nights. Two choices, two roads with two different destinations, but there is only one journey. EPHESIANS 1: 18 ... The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling...

You might be crushed by shame over your mental illness, only to be told by well-meaning Christians to “choose joy” and “pray more.” So you beg God to take away the pain, but nothing eases the ache inside. As darkness lingers and color drains from your world, you’re left wondering if God has abandoned you. You just want a way out. But there’s hope. In I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die, Sarah J. Robinson offers a healthy, practical, and shame-free guide for Christians struggling with mental illness. With unflinching honesty, Sarah shares her story of battling depression and fighting to stay alive despite toxic theology that made her afraid to seek help outside the church. Pairing her own story with scriptural insights, mental health research, and simple practices, Sarah helps you reconnect with the God who is present in our deepest anguish and discover that you are worth everything it takes to get better. Beautifully written and full of hard-won wisdom, I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die offers a path toward a rich, hope-filled life in Christ, even when healing doesn’t look like what you expect.

Book Do You Want to Be Healed

Download or read book Do You Want to Be Healed written by Tom Mann and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2013-04-01 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: So you've prayed to God that He will take your pain away, but it just seems as if He wants you to carry that cross forever. Have you ever thought that perhaps God really does want to heal you, but you're actually standing in the way? Do You Want to Be Healed? Allowing God to Heal Brokenness in Your Life shares a little-known truth about Jesus' healing ministry-you have to be ready for healing before Jesus will heal you. That means you can't keep one foot in your dysfunction while crying out to God for help. You have to go all in before Jesus can perform that healing miracle in your life. If you're ready for that kind of commitment-ready for Jesus to wipe away your tears and heal the brokenness in your soul-take a chance and say, yes, I want to be healed. Newspaper editor, soldier, political consultant, private investigator, intelligence officer, adjunct professor, business owner, senior executive, Bachelors and Masters Degrees-on paper Tom Mann looks like one of the more successful people you will meet. You would never see the dysfunction that consumed him, caused by too many years of neglect and abuse as a child. For years, he thought everyone else was nuts until the day he realized it was actually him. Crying out to Jesus, Tom found healing, but not in some "shabalee-doo, you're healed" kind of way. No, more like the "Submit yourself fully to Jesus and do things you don't want to do" kind of way. God has used Tom's pain for good, giving Tom the ability to powerfully speak into other's lives about healing. Now he desperately wants you to have the same kind of healing God has given him.
