Book I Am Anchored in Christ Bring on Euroclydon

Download or read book I Am Anchored in Christ Bring on Euroclydon written by Brilliant Pongo and published by Paragon Publishing. This book was released on 2020-01-17 with total page 150 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How do we sail calmly in the voyage of Christian life in a bitter, corrupt and calloused world? For our journey and delineating the courses for our destinies, believers need to know how to hold the ship of their faith steady. We need to know how to drop anchor into Lord Jesus Christ, his word, his promises, and his grace. All too often, it is not until we reach the middle of our journeys that we realise how anchor savvy we actually are. It is here we discover if our anchor into God is an untested theory or a living phenomenon. Lucky for the believers, this book is a wake-up call to the modern church to see how anchored they are in the infallible, undiluted Gospel of the truth.

Book Wholeness in Hope Care

Download or read book Wholeness in Hope Care written by Daniel Johannes Louw and published by LIT Verlag Münster. This book was released on 2015 with total page 636 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Throughout his life, the apartheid activist, Nelson Mandela (Madiba), maintained, 'In the darkest moment there is always hope. We must never give up'. Hope as a mode of the courage to be (Paul Tillich), points to what the Sociologist Peter Berger calls: signals of transcendence. Wholeness in Hope Care explores the rich tradition of hope in wisdom, philosophy and Christian theology. It connects non-hope/un-hope (Gabriel Marcel: inespoir) to a theology of compassion in soul care (cura animarum). Resurrection hope (theologia resurrectionis) points to the healing of life (cura vitae) and the preservation of land (cura terrae). In order to describe the helping and healing dimension in pastoral caregiving, the term 'promissiotherapy' has been coined. Daniel Johannes Louw was Dean of the faculty of theology at the University of Stellenbosch (2001-2005), President of the International Academy of Practical Theology (IAPT) (2003-2005) and President of the International Council for Pastoral Care and Counselling (ICPPC) (2011-2015). Download or read book Portals Pearls written by Sherri Stevens and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2017-07-25 with total page 250 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What if what you know about God just ain't so? Portals can be rather inconspicuous and elusive, but when we find one of these obscure openings, we discover that it can be a divine door that ushers us out of darkness and despair into a whole new dimension of freedom. Unfortunately, because of negative encounters we may have had with churchy people or the guilt and condemnation we may have suffered under religious teaching, we end up being driven away, and rightly so, from any further involvement with religion. A portal (for the purpose of this book) symbolizes a gateway of knowledge and understanding into God’s grace and truth intended to bring to light the gospel of Jesus Christ to lead us out from behind the iron bars of false beliefs that may be enslaving us. This book was written to display God’s prismatic promises and the biblical wisdom God has provided for us as answers and antidotes to the various problems we may encounter in life.

Book Jesus in a Fairy Tale

Download or read book Jesus in a Fairy Tale written by Mary Peterson and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2014-10-07 with total page 97 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In every part of anything we do, Jesus is present. This book piques the imagination of children who want to learn more about Jesus. It will guide the teacher to a new approach through lessons, participation, playacting, and games. If you ever wondered how to teach children in a way that would hold their attention and give them better understanding, then these are the lessons for you. Each section is planned separately according to what is being taught and can be used for any age group. The idea of a fairy tale is used to teach about leadership, love, and building a strong foundation. Use the current-events lesson to teach about trust in God. There is even a section on sports. One lesson is named Hit a Home Run for God. All lessons are informative and creative, and they all allow the children to use their imagination. The holidays are taught in an unusual way. The Christmas lesson is titled The Thinker, and it brings a message that is clear to all. The games and music sections are included to challenge childrens minds and incite curiosity as well as fun. My book is for teachers who want to do more than read or talk to the class about Jesusit is meant to be used to captivate their minds and encourage learning.

Download or read book Out My Window written by Barbara Durnil and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-12-28 with total page 199 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the story of an empty nester widow who decides to isolate not alone but with God at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. She has always thought a monastic life would be wonderful. She could shelter away from life, social responsibilities, and interruptions simply to study God's Word and to talk with Him. She is going on sabbatical. She has two Bible studies already started when the shutdown began and several studies she wants to pursue. She also journals and enjoys writing what she hears God telling her. She is in for a big surprise when God begins His lessons for her. There are wonderful things presented for her to learn, new revelations and thought-provoking information that had never occurred to her. There are also emotions, frustrations, and Satan's presence to throw her off. These are all met by God, showing her the way out. Even when she stumbles and weakens to despair or anger about the scene out her window, God takes the guilt from her and loves her. He is a merciful God. She learns of His holiness, grace, and mercy but also sees His working hand of judgment out the window as she watches the direction of the human race. She learns that mercy and judgment are in equal quantities as they exist together at the same time. True repentance is what changes judgment to mercy. Her lessons come daily, and she becomes a true disciple of Christ, taking in every word He speaks and asking questions in return. All that was needed was time alone, no distractions, and her full attention on God. The world grows dark out her window. And at first, it frightens her, but God shows her truths and reminds her of His plan. He prepares her to be a part of His plan and to eventually return to the world walking in that plan. The time is not yet, but it is coming, and she waits for it. 87

Download or read book No One Has Hired Us written by B. Wayne Bradfield and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2011-01-31 with total page 117 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many excellent books have been written on the subject of how to get a job, and it is not my goal to add another to the library shelves. This study seeks to examine employment and unemployment from a Biblical perspective and will hopefully make suitable companion reading for other self-help books. If the Bible isas many people sayGods operating manual for successful living, then surely it will be our source of needed wisdom to cope with every life situation, including joblessness. Contrary to the opinion of some people, the Bible has great relevance in todays world. I have discovered a virtual gold mine of guidance, instruction, and encouragement for those who would turn to Gods Word in times of unemployment. Like gold, however, the nuggets are seldom found on the surface; they must be discovered through some effort. They are found embedded in the principles governing Gods kingdom that are scattered throughout the Bible. These principles will not only teach us how we should live, but also how we can make a living. www.bwaynebradfield.com
