Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Will Holloway is a blessed man. He and his wife Nan are joyfully expecting their second child. He is the pastor of Faith Christian Church, the church his father and mother established over thirty years ago. Life is good as they grow in Christ with lifelong friends. His parents live just over the hill, and they share an abundance of love daily. He kisses Nan goodbye as she leaves for work at the clinic, delivers his son Matt to his parents for a morning of fun, and climbs the ladder to begin his day's work, painting windows on the second story of their big old house. In midafternoon, with the job nearly completed, the world changes forever. Walking by Faith with Thanksgiving captures the devastation experienced by Will as he suffers unimaginable losses. What does a broken pastor do in a broken world with a broken future? His foundation is shaken, but he must move forward for the sake of Matt. With Will and Matt, you will experience their pain and struggle with next steps. Family will embrace family, and faith and trust in God will enable them. This is a story about moving forward.

Book excerpt: Explore this stunning quality of God’s grace: It never ends! True life for the follower of Jesus really is a moment-by-moment trust that God is dependable and fulfills his promises. This is living by faith in future grace, which provides God's mercy, provision, and wisdom—everything we need—to accomplish his good plans for us. In Future Grace, chapter by chapter—one for each day of the month—Piper reveals how cherishing the promises of God helps break the power of persistent sin issues like anxiety, despondency, greed, lust, bitterness, impatience, pride, misplaced shame, and more. Ultimate joy, peace, and hope in life and death are found in a confident, continual awareness of the reality of future grace.

Download or read book God in the Dark written by Sarah Van Diest and published by NavPress. This book was released on 2018-04-03 with total page 160 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Life’s painful trials can bring shame about our inadequate and broken faith. There is relief in hearing the expressions of desperation in the psalmist’s voice. He didn’t experience this life perfected, and we don’t either. But the psalmist was loved. So are we. God was so kind to give us the Psalms. To walk through darkened days is part of the human experience. To walk through them with faith, comfort, strength, joy, and hope is part of the divine experience. Our eyes, though, are often clouded to those blessings by the thing oppressing us. When we remember and recognize our Father’s faithfulness, when we see reality with the eyes of understanding, the darkness ebbs and the light of hope grows. The impossible, unbearable, and unthinkable becomes the hidden passageway to truth, hope, and joy in Christ. These letters were originally written as encouragement to a friend when the darkness began to overtake his path. Each day for 22 days, a letter arrived with one of the eight-verse sections from Psalm 119 along with a small thought to bring light and hope and to be a reminder that we do not fight our battles alone. The letters, along with nine more devotions on the subject of experiencing God in the dark, make up this powerful, honest, hope-filled 31-day devotional.

"The All-Night Receptionist" was a splash of praise as he met her one morning after he had been surprised by "A Red Sunrise". One day "A Man Of God" told him about "The Bible On The Wall". As he walked along the Emmaus Road he met "Hombre Jesus" and ate of the proffered "Fish And Bread" as a means of "Communion". He could not help but express "Oh, My God" when he was shown "Small Miracles" under "Dark Clouds".

Book WALK WITH GOD IN ALL HIS BENEFITS

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: My main objective in writing this book is to help people learn and develop in becoming spiritually mature faith filled believers walking in peace and joy complete in Him (God). I have written seven children’s books back in 2007 and thereafter. I was working part time and taking care of my granddaughter at that time. I have been walking with God for many years and want to help people see what is available to them in this day and time. The children’s books are Christian oriented. Three of them are called Three Cousins and the other four are called Grand Ma Explains. I have worked in the areas of serving people in the medical and human service field. I have a Bachelors, in Human Services and an Associates in Medical Assisting. Many people are struggling and going through tough times and I would like to help them find a level of stability and balance, which will, God willing, help people to walk in peace. To be honest, many, many years ago I did not think that was possible. But let me tell you, if you seek and keep on seeking, you will find the way. If you knock and keep on knocking, it will be open to you. God will open the deep things and the treasures that are hid in His amazing word. It takes time and effort and asking and seeking and knocking and God’s word will be open to you little by little one day at a time.

Book Thanksgiving

Download or read book Thanksgiving written by Eunice Badaki and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2009 with total page 58 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Living a life of thanksgiving means appreciating life's events: from the minute to the fullest. Thanksgiving is not just the last Thursday of November, where we overindulge in rich food; rather, it should be a time for a specific purpose with an assignment to make a difference. This means every waking moment should be full of thanksgiving and gratitude. But why? And how? As a passionate kingdom seeker, author Eunice Badaki talks about how our lives are given to us as a gift. We have been given great stewardship over our lives, and every action, word spoken, and decisions made will be accounted for before the lord, Jesus Christ. Christ gave up his life so that we could live; therefore, we should treat our life and the lives of others with the utmost respect. Thanksgiving is the act of worshipping and appreciating the Almighty God who gave us life. We all have challenges as a result of being part of a broken worldly system. However, we have the opportunity to orient our thought processes toward a more meaningful and purposeful existence. Badaki eloquently shares her beliefs, supported by Biblical scriptures, that with the right attitude towards God and our fellow human beings, we can live with gratitude, appreciation, reverence, honor, praise, and worship.
