Download or read book THE 4 Q s written by Damodar Venugopal and published by sarvad publication. This book was released on 2022-12-13 with total page 101 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a major step towards a huge vision that “MIND SEED LIFE SOLUTIONS” envisages, i.e., to ‘CHANGE’ people’s lives across the globe. Welcome to ‘The 4 Q’s’. What’s a self-help book? We pick it up from a book shop or by online shopping…..Read it… Shut it… Forget it. This is what it is defined as: “any book written with the explicit intention of helping its readers CHANGE or improve some aspect of their personal Or professional lives”. It is the word “CHANGE” that one never seriously takes account of. We all want to get motivated but Do not want to embrace CHANGE. Do want to be accountable for their thought process. We read many “SELF HELP” books but do we really bring that “SELF WORTH” in us. ‘MOTIVATION IS TEMPORARY’. By this book, I wish to impart and share my knowledge and experience to you all lovely friends the “CHANGE” I underwent. I promise you that if you religiously apply these contents into your life, you will definitely take one step that you were always reluctant to make. “We do not value that one baby step which needs to make it possible for us to take initiative towards bigger steps.” The Fact: There’s a high possibility that you’ll seldom practice what I am sharing here. I am sure you are going to just read this book, like it but do nothing about it…because you are busy circling around the life situations with your routine 9 to 5’s and find no time for your PERSONAL GROWTH. Do not just read the texts and become a verbal diarrhea of words by just promising to do it.... practice it. “Thinking about something and doing nothing about that something is moronic because that something could be a great thing for you”. Let’s say, even if you do not reach success, the attitude will make a difference. And once the attitude gets into your DNA, you become a different person. A kind of versatile person who can handle any adverse situation. Let’s take an instance. A donkey takes up a usual load given by his master through the normal route to the market for sale. Now the donkey is tuned to maintain the same speed and pace no matter whatever the situation is...now when the master puts some extra load on to the donkey the next day, do you think the donkey will increase his pace? No, he will carry the extra burden and go at the same pace as he used to before and will give up. He won’t otherwise think...Let me increase my speed or deploy some alternatives so that I can relieve this heavy load. This is what we face in life. We get so much engrossed in our life routines that we hardly have any time for our own self-development to make a difference in life. And when we reach the latter stage of our life, we hardly have any time left in us to enjoy or make a difference.

Download or read book The Oxford Handbook of Language and Race written by H. Samy Alim and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2020-10-02 with total page 546 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Over the past two decades, the fields of linguistic anthropology and sociolinguistics have complicated traditional understandings of the relationship between language and identity. But while research traditions that explore the linguistic complexities of gender and sexuality have long been established, the study of race as a linguistic issue has only emerged recently. The Oxford Handbook of Language and Race positions issues of race as central to language-based scholarship. In twenty-one chapters divided into four sections-Foundations and Formations; Coloniality and Migration; Embodiment and Intersectionality; and Racism and Representations-authors at the forefront of this rapidly expanding field present state-of-the-art research and establish future directions of research. Covering a range of sites from around the world, the handbook offers theoretical, reflexive takes on language and race, the larger histories and systems that influence these concepts, the bodies that enact and experience them, and the expressions and outcomes that emerge as a result. As the study of language and race continues to take on a growing importance across anthropology, communication studies, cultural studies, education, linguistics, literature, psychology, ethnic studies, sociology, and the academy as a whole, this volume represents a timely, much-needed effort to focus these fields on both the central role that language plays in racialization and on the enduring relevance of race and racism.
