Book The Book of Ezekiel Chapters 25 48

Download or read book The Book of Ezekiel Chapters 25 48 written by Daniel I. Block and published by Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing. This book was released on 1998-06-19 with total page 905 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This work completes Daniel Block's two-volume commentary on the book of Ezekiel. The result of twelve years of studying this difficult section of Scripture, this volume, like the one on chapters 1-24, provides an excellent discussion of the background of Ezekiel and offers a verse-by-verse exposition that makes clear the message of this obscure and often misunderstood prophet. Block also shows that Ezekiel's ancient wisdom and vision are still very much needed as we enter the twenty-first century.

Book Volume 1 of Ezekiel s Story The Whirlwind

Download or read book Volume 1 of Ezekiel s Story The Whirlwind written by Robert Fodge and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2016-03-07 with total page 481 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book of Ezekiel contains unique information about God's chosen people. The whole scope of God's love, sovereignty, power, omniscience, righteousness, mercy, anger, wrath and judgment towards saved, but rebellious people is revealed. God's treatment of His chosen people is a model of the way that He treats with saved, but rebellious individuals. In 1 Pet 4:17-18, Peter said, "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?" Ezekiel's story of the whirlwind is the account of the reason for God's judgment of the nation of Israel, and corresponds perfectly with Peter's statement that "judgment must begin at the house of God." That nation was outwardly committed to God. They maintained that they trusted in God but they were guilty of being like neighboring nations.

Every aspect of the charts, maps and time lines leaps off the page with spectacular color, incredible accuracy and intricate detail. . . . A must for every pastor and teacher who wants to clearly present the truths of the Bible." --Dr. Jerry Falwell, Founder of Liberty University "A compendium of charts, time lines, lists and illustrations to accompany study of the Bible. This visually appealing resource provides a wide array of illustrative and textually concise references, beginning with three sets of charts covering the Bible as a whole, the Old Testament and the New Testament. These charts cover such topics as biblical weights and measures, feasts and holidays and the 12 disciples. Most of the charts use a variety of illustrative techniques to convey lessons and provide visual interest. A worthwhile example is 'How We Got the Bible, ' which provides a time line of translation history, comparisons of canons among faiths and portraits of important figures in biblical translation, such as Jerome and John Wycliffe. The book then presents a section of maps, followed by diagrams to conceptualize such structures as Noah's Ark and Solomon's Temple. Finally, a section on Christianity, cults and other religions describes key aspects of history and doctrine for certain Christian sects and other faith traditions. Overall, the authors take a traditionalist, conservative approach. For instance, they list Moses as the author of the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Hebrew Bible) without making mention of claims to the contrary. When comparing various Christian sects and world religions, the emphasis is on doctrine and orthodox theology. Some chapters, however, may not completely align with the needs of Catholic and Orthodox churches. But the author's leanings are muted enough and do not detract from the work's usefulness. As a resource, it's well organized, inviting and visually stimulating. Even the most seasoned reader will learn something while browsing. Worthwhile reference stuffed with facts and illustrations." --Kirkus Reviews

Download or read book The Millennium written by Stanley Ole Lotegeluaki and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2019-05-02 with total page 586 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The 1000 year millennium of Jesus Christ after the S. Coming has confused some people. They think that there will be no death, no work, no pain, and no sin whatsoever. This is not the truth. There will be work, there will be pain, and there will be sin. People will sin in the millennium because it is noted in Zechariah 13:1 that there will be a fountain to cleanse oneself from sin with a fountain from David, which is Christ. Zechariah 13:1 " In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and or uncleanness." But God is going to remove all of the demons from the earth for they will be in the bottomless pit. What will life be like in the millennium? Will we have different bodies that does not decay? Well we should note that after the 1000 years there will be a war or WWIII. So people will follow the laws of physics, they will die, they will feel pain and they will work in order for war to take place. People will still have babies and people will still get sick in order to follow the laws of physics for war to take place. So when do we get our glorified bodies? It is after this universe collapses in a 100 billion Ad+/-. That is when we will no longer feel pain or sorrow or death that is when God changes all things to a new earth universe and new heavens. The nations will also during the millennium as Zechariah says will celebrate the FEAST OF TABERNACLES. Any nation that does not send representatives to Israel and Jesus will receive no rain or blessing from the God of Israel. And if they still insist on not showing up there will be a plague upon there whole nation where their tongues and eyes shall consume away. So it is important that no one misses these celebrations. The feast of Tabernacles is really- Thanksgiving celebration, and they do that in Canada and the U.S.A already. After the 1000 years or 40 billion +/- years which is the true length of the Millennium the universe will be in blueshift and we will have WWIII. The Beast and Satan will be removed out of the Bottomless pit and they will enter Christs kingdom and try to destroy it. This is when the falling away happens, when the perfect 1000 year kingdom is contaminated by the goats who are also removed out of hell and given another chance to serve Christ. They will sin again and worship the beast and then they will be thrown into hell again and hell will become hot for the first time because it will be thrown into the fiery lake of fire. The Lake of fire is the center of an imploding universe of collapsing fiery stars and galaxies. The two witnesses will also show up in WWIII on some planet and they will torment Satan's demons. When they are killed by the beast the demons and angels of Satan will give each other gifts for the two witnesses tormented them. When the witnesses turn the waters to blood, it means that they turned the political sea to violence, so there will be many small wars around the universe in those days. The Beast had killed a Asian king and he entered his body and came back to life in three days. So to show the people that it was not unusual God caused the two witnesses to come back to life after they were killed, so the people of those days had no excuse to worship the Beast for coming back to life in three days. After the war of Ezekiel 38, 39 the universe went into complete blueshift. Jesus brought order to the universe and Christianity continued to flourish forever even after the collapse of the universe. If you read all 200 of my descriptions in all my books and look at the picture stories I made in my books you will completely understand all prophecy from infinite past to infinite future and the invisible war inbetween. Read the Jesus Christ Warrior description and you will see the whole story.

Book A History of the Bible

Download or read book A History of the Bible written by John Barton and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2020-08-04 with total page 642 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A literary history of our most influential book of all time, by an Oxford scholar and Anglican priest In our culture, the Bible is monolithic: It is a collection of books that has been unchanged and unchallenged since the earliest days of the Christian church. The idea of the Bible as "Holy Scripture," a non-negotiable authority straight from God, has prevailed in Western society for some time. And while it provides a firm foundation for centuries of Christian teaching, it denies the depth, variety, and richness of this fascinating text. In A History of the Bible, John Barton argues that the Bible is not a prescription to a complete, fixed religious system, but rather a product of a long and intriguing process, which has inspired Judaism and Christianity, but still does not describe the whole of either religion. Barton shows how the Bible is indeed an important source of religious insight for Jews and Christians alike, yet argues that it must be read in its historical context--from its beginnings in myth and folklore to its many interpretations throughout the centuries. It is a book full of narratives, laws, proverbs, prophecies, poems, and letters, each with their own character and origin stories. Barton explains how and by whom these disparate pieces were written, how they were canonized (and which ones weren't), and how they were assembled, disseminated, and interpreted around the world--and, importantly, to what effect. Ultimately, A History of the Bible argues that a thorough understanding of the history and context of its writing encourages religious communities to move away from the Bible's literal wording--which is impossible to determine--and focus instead on the broader meanings of scripture.
