Book excerpt: Do psychic powers really exist? Martin Lane asks himself the same questions as he is forced to employ the services of a psychic to help solve the disappearances of three young women. Despite his skepticism, he is surprised by the leads the psychic, Damien Rossiter, is able to give him and his assistant, Detective Pedro Gonzalez, who have had no luck in cracking the cases. Shortly after soliciting Rossiter's help, the bodies of two of the young women are discovered. Martin's suspicions are turned in many directions, directions he cannot and does not want to believe. All indications are that the killer could even come from within the ranks of his own department Contrary to what seems to be the inevitable, he manages to unearth the true identity of the killer through old-fashioned police work and a little tom-foolery, surprising everyone around him, not least of all the killer. Visions of Murder is a mystery that delves into the recesses of psychic abilities. Damien Rossiter, the psychic employed by the Harris City Police Department has a proven record of being able to assist the authorities, he was successful in New Mexico. Now, in southern Texas, he helps Chief of Detectives Martin Lane and the ever-present, chain-smoking Detective Sergeant Pedro Gonzalez home in on the killer. Martin Lane has been "forced" into employing the psychics services by his boss and adversary, Tom Wilkins, a man who has been after Lane's job for some time. As the investigation into the disappearances and murders continue, young girls continue to disappear at an alarming rate. Forensics from the first two crime scenes pick up some vital information. A DNA match is made, and the answer is one that Martin cannot and does not believe. Unfortunately, further clues turn up that continue to point to the same person, yet despite evidence to the contrary, Martin believes that there is something a little suspicious about it all. It all seems just a little too convenient to him. Almost resigning himself to the fact that he has a killer in his own department, he suddenly figures out that the identity of the true killer can be proven, with a little bit of luck. Martin's supportive wife Amy, who continuously is pressuring him to take early retirement and work in her flower business, is exasperated by her husbands preoccupation with the case. Finally, Martin manages to extract the evidence he needs to crack the case and, with a lot of help from his friends at the crime lab, is able to positively identify the killer, surprising everyone. Book excerpt: We all wonder about the time that has passed by, the people we have met, and the love that we have shared. Reflections of the good, the bad and how we survived the sad times are the molecules that tell of one spirit. This book will delight you with poems of this nature, as well as short stories. Though some of the short stories are of delight, such as "Grandfather" and "The Little Girl," others will leave you with notorious insight into ones soul, as in Viet-be and I just couldn't see. As you glance into the minds eye of others, you will walk down a path that has been crossed with the many remembrances of your own. Like the current events of our time "Together We Stand and Sing Their Song," this helped to raise the much needed funds for the victims and their families of the Oklahoma City Bombing, but lets not forget "Abraham's Tears," which proceeded the events of September 11 th. Her most memorable award comes from the National Library of Poetry, Best Poems of 1996 for the Library of Congress. When Bonnie Daun wrote "We have never walked alone." Something we all should remember.

Book excerpt: For Jung, the beautiful and brilliantly creative 28-year old Christiana Morgan was an inspired force whose path in self-analysis paralleled his own quest for personal knowledge. By teaching Morgan the trance-like technique of active imagination, Jung helped her embark on a series of archetypal adventures which she depicted in paintings of great virtuosity and he candidly recounted at a seminar given to some of his closest followers. Through his eloquent description of the fiery, mythic visions of a woman discovering her repressed sexuality and feminine power, Jung reveals how deeply this encounter challenged his understanding of feminine psychology. These two volumes bring together for the first time colour reproductions of Morgan's paintings with a complete transcript of the seminar.

When she touches or is close to people bearing strong thoughts or emotions, or in the midst of where an emotional event has occurred, visions come through her mind in explosive and electrical bursts. Although Brianna's mind acts as a television screen sucking in the energy of people's emotional experiences, her gift fails her miserably when she longs to discover the secret behind the mystery of her brother's dead twin. Her mother's supposition that the dead twin was switched by someone at birth and isn't her baby, is an unresolved issue haunting the entire family. When Brianna sets out to discover the truth, her efforts draw her into a murder investigation of three brothers, one whom she falls in love with, and the other two, twins, who were born on the same date in the same clinic as her own twin brothers. Brianna's life becomes a puzzle of disconnected pieces, which upsets her world and leaves her determined to find a killer and discover the truth about her twin brother. Will she help to prove that the man she loves is a killer?
