Para llevar a cabo este estudio se utilizó un método cualitativo. Los participantes del estudio fueron un total de cinco profesionales de la salud, de ambos géneros que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión establecidos por la investigadora. Se desarrolló una guía de preguntas abiertas a seguir durante la entrevista semi-estructurada grabada. El guía de preguntas consistió de un total de 22 preguntas dividas en (3) partes (Apéndice B). Se le leyó y se le entregó una hoja de consentimiento y confidencialidad (Apéndice A). A través de estas cinco entrevistas, se logró obtener la percepción y experiencia de estos profesionales de la salud que hayan trabajando e interviniendo con personas envejecidas sobrevivientes de maltrato. Se identificó la teoría de la actividad y satisfacción de la vida como el marco de referencia. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran la gran necesidad que existe para sensibilizarnos y aumentar la educación del proceso de envejecimiento para poder identificar e intervenir en casos de maltrato de nuestra población envejecida. He llegado a la conclusión, que es urgente entender el proceso del envejecimiento, las necesidades y el valor de esta etapa de la vida. Dediquemos nuestro tiempo y esfuerzo para compartir nuestra atención, cariño y afecto con nuestros envejecidos que tanto ellos también dieron y aportaron en nuestra crianza y desarrollo.

Available evidence has been scattered and unrepresentative and despite this evidence, non-consensual sex among young people is perceived to be a rare occurrence. This volume dispels any such misconception. It presents a disturbing picture of non-consensual sex among girls as well as boys, and among married as well as unmarried young women in a variety of settings. This volume documents, moreover, the expanse of non-consensual experiences that young people face – from unwanted touch to forced penetrative sex and gang rape. Although the focus is on young females, the volume also sheds light on the experience of young males as both victims and perpetrators. This pioneering volume highlights key factors placing young people at risk, whilst outlining the significant distinctive health and social implications they face. Sex Without Consent also documents the unsupportive – and sometimes abusive or negligent – roles of families, teachers, health care providers and law enforcement agents, outlines promising efforts intended to prevent non-consensual sex or support survivors, and argues for profound changes in norms and values that tolerate or encourage non-consensual sex. No creo en lo que dicen muchas personas de que "ya no hay valores", sino que considero que los valores allí están, existen bajo todos los cielos estrellados, porque son Universales, y que somos nosotros los seres humanos los que no damos la talla, y no me curo en salud, porque los valores no se aprenden, podemos obtener las máximas calificaciones en asignaturas de Ética, pero ser malos ejemplos para otras personas, en nuestras acciones morales y nos verán como deshonestos, viciosos, mentirosos, etc. Porque los Valores no se enseñan ni se aprenden, sino que se viven. Ese es el propósito de este libro, concientizar mediante la cultura el Cuidado del Medio Ambiente en base a la Ética y los Valores.
