Ce cours cible l'autonomie dans la pratique d'activité physique (AP) afin d'encourager un mode de vie sain et actif dans une visée de santé publique. Le problème à la base de l'étude concerne, d'une part, l'inactivité physique trop répandue dans la population et, d'autre part, la baisse d'intérêt pour les cours d'ÉP durant l'adolescence. Dans cette optique, les enseignants pourraient planifier leurs stratégies pédagogiques et d'évaluation en harmonie avec l'intention de susciter la motivation et l'engagement des étudiants envers leur cours d'ÉP (court terme) et envers leur pratique d'AP post-cours (à long terme). La mise en place et l'évaluation d'une telle stratégie sont l'objet de la présente étude. Spécifiquement, l'objectif est d'évaluer l'impact d'une épreuve terminale visant des choix d'intérêt en matière d'AP, sur la motivation, l'engagement et la prise en charge pérenne de la pratique d'AP.
