This book provides a history of the family of Valborg Loftnes, their fourth child.Valborg was twelve years old when she arrived from Norway. She lived with her parents in Goodhue County, Minnesota and later moved to rural Sibley County where she married Reiel Johnson, also a Norwegian immigrant. Valborg was the mother of six children, but died shortly after having her last child in 1892. The children were raised by Reiel and his second wife Alida with help from local family members.One child, Nelly, moved to Saskatchewan, another, Mathilda moved to St. Louis and the remaining children raised families in Minnesota.This book is a compilation of stories, photos and articles about the descendants of Reiel and Valborg.
