Book Computer Aided Structural Engineering CASE Project User s Guide for Concrete Strength Investigation and Design CASTR in Accordance with ACI 318 83

Download or read book Computer Aided Structural Engineering CASE Project User s Guide for Concrete Strength Investigation and Design CASTR in Accordance with ACI 318 83 written by Clifton C. Hamby and published by . This book was released on 1987 with total page 43 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Program CASTR is versatile in that its capabilities extend from design of new concrete structures in accordance with ACI Code 318-83 to investigation of already existing designs. Its analysis is based on the rectangular stress block described in Section 10.3 of the ACI Code. The design procedure is computer-aided rather than automatic and computes the minimum reinforcement required for a given width and depth, and displays the resulting interaction diagram. The program also computes and prints the minimum effective depth of a given section which satisfies strength requirements and steel ratio requirements without compressive reinforcement. The investigation procedure shows interaction diagrams and calculates compliance with ductile failure criteria.

Book Engineering and Design

Download or read book Engineering and Design written by and published by . This book was released on 1989 with total page 480 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This manual provides guidance for the safe design and economical construction of retaining and flood walls. This manual is intended primarily for retaining walls which will be subjected to hydraulic loadings such as flowing water, submergence, wave action, and spray, exposure to chemically contaminated atmosphere, and/or severe climatic conditions. For the design of retaining walls which will not be subjected to hydraulic loadings or severe environmental conditions as described above, TM S-8l8-l may be used for computing the loadings and evaluating the stability of the structure.
