Book Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment of Disorders of the Bladder With Technique of Cystoscopy Classic Reprint

Download or read book Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment of Disorders of the Bladder With Technique of Cystoscopy Classic Reprint written by Follen Cabot and published by . This book was released on 2016-06-20 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment of Disorders of the Bladder With Technique of Cystoscopy The chief object of this book is to teach general practitioners the principal methods of diagnosing and treating disorders of the urinary bladder. While the cystoscope and its uses have been carefully considered, particular effort has been made to give each method of diagnosis its just value. The various disorders of the bladder are to-day better understood and more satisfactorily treated than they were a few years ago, due to electric illumination of the vesical cavity which has made many formerly obscure diseases recognizable and their successful treatment possible. In teaching many graduates in medicine from all parts of the world, I have found the need of a book which will help the student in understanding various problems in connection with diseases of the bladder. The present volume is largely a record of personal experience and not an attempt to cover the whole subject under discussion. As a teacher I have endeavored to convey to the student ideas which have been of value to me in practice. Book Urinary Analysis and Diagnosis by Microscopical and Chemical Examination Classic Reprint

Download or read book Urinary Analysis and Diagnosis by Microscopical and Chemical Examination Classic Reprint written by Louis Heitzmann and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2017-11-29 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Urinary Analysis and Diagnosis by Microscopical and Chemical Examination In many cases in which the clinical symptoms, although pointing to an affection of the genito-urinary tract, are vague, and, even with the aid of chemical analysis of the urine, will not admit of a positive diagnosis, microscopical examination, if carefully conducted, will completely clear up the case. It is evident that a mere description of the features found in different cases can not be sufficiently clear, but that illustra tions made directly from nature are absolutely essential. In the present volume all the illustrations, without exception, have been drawn by the author directly from specimens in his possession. In the third part, devoted to Microscopical Diagnosis, full page illustrations have been added to elucidate the text, each drawing giving the features found in the case it illustrates. As the subject is of the greatest practical value, the author hopes that this volume may serve a useful end, and will con sider his labors amply rewarded if he has thereby succeeded in simplifying this extremely important branch of Micro scopy. Book Clinical Examination of the Urine and Urinary Diagnosis

Download or read book Clinical Examination of the Urine and Urinary Diagnosis written by Jay Bergen Ogden and published by . This book was released on 2015-07-11 with total page 466 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Clinical Examination of the Urine and Urinary Diagnosis: A Clinical Guide for the Use of Practitioners and Students of Medicine and Surgery The revision of this book for its third edition was undertaken with a feeling of considerable pleasure; first, because of the pleasant reception tendered the first two editions by teachers and students of physiological and clinical chemistry, and second, because of the real need for changing the subject matter to conform to the advances which have taken place since the publication of the second edition. It has been found necessary to make a number of changes in methods, and a special effort has been directed toward bringing technique to a higher degree of efficiency. Much of unimportant matter of the first two editions has been eliminated, and I have intentionally omitted the consideration of a number of subjects which are not of clinical importance and which are best treated in special and more comprehensive works on physiological chemistry. The subject of urinary examinations for purposes of life insurance has been incorporated for the reason that a very large number of those who enter upon the practice of medicine will be called upon to make insurance examinations. The analysis of a urine for life insurance does not, of course, differ essentially from an analysis of urine of any other purpose, but in that portion given up to this subject methods and technique have been so condensed as to be easily understood and quickly applied. I desire to extend to the profession my sincere thanks for their continued approval of this work. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. This book was released on 2017-01-18 with total page 336 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Value of Radiography in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Urinary Stone: A Study in Clinical and Operative Surgery Rontgen rays in the urinary tract - the operator and the radiographer. Both work independently and yet both are interdependent. The former cannot justly cast the responsibility of shadow deduction upon the latter, though he is dependent upon him for skill in shadow detection. The radiographer cannot be content with merely produc ing shadows: he must aspire to the knowledge of their causation, and to obtain this he must examine critically and learn from the work of the operator. Each must give: each take. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Book A Guide to Urinary Diseases Classic Reprint

Download or read book A Guide to Urinary Diseases Classic Reprint written by Adolphe Abrahams and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2018-02-11 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from A Guide to Urinary Diseases IN no branch of medicine more than in diseases of the urinary tract and disturbances of the act of micturition is greater difficulty experienced in the separation of medical from surgical conditions. For this reason the cc-operation of physician and surgeon in the prepara tion of this small work requires no justification. The aim of the authors has been primarily to assist the general practitioner in identifying a lesion from the symptoms which are present. Only such pathological details are included as can be strictly regarded as essential to this end; and whilst elementary clinical pathology has not been neglected, only the barest reference has been made to those methods of investi gation which demand the resources of a well-equipped laboratory and the technical skill of an experienced pathologist. It has been thought unnecessary to elaborate certain methods of treatment, which only a surgical specialist could adequately undertake, but a more detailed description has been given of measures which are regarded as urgent, and which a practitioner would consider to come legitimately within his province. This book was released on 2017-11-02 with total page 1158 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Genito-Urinary Surgery and Venereal Diseases In the preparation of this work we have endeavored to present clearly and with sufficient detail the generally accepted teachings of the day in regard to the pathology, symptomatology, diagnosis, and treatment of syphilis and genito-urinary diseases. We have exercised the author's right of choice in estimating the comparative value of various methods of treatment, and have given chiefly those which our experience has led us to prefer, though alter native methods are usually mentioned. As it was our wish to make this book one of practical use to the physician, much space has been devoted to symptomatology, diagnosis, and treatment. The patho logical alterations characteristic of the diseases and injuries described have been briefly outlined, avoiding discussion of questions still nu settled. Historical considerations have been abbreviated as much as possible, and references have been omitted, though proper credit has been given for special methods or teachings.
