Book excerpt: An Unsent message can be a powerful expression of love, full of emotion and vulnerability. When we’re in love, it is natural to want to share our feelings with the person we care about, and writing an unsent message can be a way to explore and articulate those feelings. Whether it’s a love letter, a poem or a simple message, an unsent message can be a powerful expression of love that can be shared with someone special. This book contains the feelings which may make it difficult to send or message sent but it is lost in the way where the message is expression of full of love and emotions. Sometimes the uncertainty of the other person’s feelings can make it difficult to send an unsent message, but it can also be a cathartic and healing process to write down our thoughts and feelings, even if we never send them or we send but it lost in the way and never get that person. Under this book authors have written their feelings which they wanna to say someone but they can't which becomes "UNSENT MESSAGE". This is collectively the work of compiler and her 18 authors who have written their feelings in this anthology from their core of heart.

Book excerpt: I know that we both understand how we feel for each other, and I know that you are so scared to confront this but so am I.I feel very overwhelmed to accept these intense feelings for you and I feel crazy because my mind cannot understand why I love you so deeply. You walked into my life without warning, and you took over my Soul as if you always belonged there. This bond that we share feels eternal, and I know it in my Soul that this is just the beginning of our forever.I feel like I know you from a past life as if we have been best friends, lovers, and guardians of each other lifetimes ago.The first time I met you, I felt a familiar feeling about you as if we were reconnecting - it felt as if we were meant to meet when we did.It was the most surprising experience finding you, and up to this date, I still pinch myself just to know that I am not dreaming.I keep wondering to myself if you are real; I never expected to find great love in you and I never expected to lose you that quickly as I did.You were like a flash of unconditional love that shone on me and quickly disappeared without warning.Do you remember the first time we looked in each other's eyes? - I remember that moment every day since I found you and that was the affirmation to me that you are the one.The way you look at me mesmerizes me because you never want to look away. I love how I am very intoxicating to you; you find me very irresistible and you always tell me how you feel. How we met was very awkward, and the timing was wrong I know but it did not stop us from acknowledging the connection.Sometimes meeting you feels like the most beautiful curse because we cannot be together yet we feel how we feel for each other.I love you.

Download or read book Dear Lovely Lovely Soul written by Marc L. Militello and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2021-03-20 with total page 131 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A book of over 100 love letters written in poetic form. Unsent letters written to an unnamed individual or thought only known as Lovely, Lovely Soul. An idea sparked from A.R. Gurney's Love Letters play only letters never sent. The trials and spilled ink thoughts fighting depression, anxiety, adolescent love, inward torture, and fighting through painful thoughts many of us can relate to by putting pen to paper. If you enjoyed "the words I wish I said" by Caitlin Kelly you should find this compilation enjoyable. I started writing these letters back in 1997 after I moved away from New Jersey out to Arizona for school. While taking what I had for granted, I did not believe that my childhood was... shall we say, "the best?" Moving away meant a fresh start, a new life, freedom. Getting as far away from the small, one square mile town I grew up in and out into the wider world where I always felt like I was meant for bigger and brighter things. I craved that freedom and could not wait for it. But a few mere months before I was destined to leave... something tragic happened. I, in my unlearned youth, discovered the sensation of what I believed to be, "Love". It ended up being so fleeting as my time was so short before departure to the desert. Heartbreak was inevitable. It was the first of many that would happen in my life and I would go on to develop this concept of a small light... willow wisp like. Always bouncing from one girl to the next. Getting close, but always fleeing right at the moment when it was about to be captured. It seemed like a repelling magnet getting just close enough for an attraction before flipping and bounding away from a certain distance. Changing its poles once again and becoming attractive. That seemed to be the metaphor to me of what "Love" meant to me and what it would be for my remaining days. The wisp always moving, teasing, getting closer, and running away. "Catch me if you can" it would haunt. "Catch me if you can" and like the fool, I was destined to be, I would continue to chase. I have finally compiled these poems if you will, which I wrote off and on for the last 20+ years. While I know my style in some of them work, and others fall very short of publishable work, it is my life crafted on paper that I felt compelled to share. Knock something off the bucket list, if you will. Not just that, however, more to share with those out there that can relate. Understand and realize that you are not alone even in the moments when you look around and only darkness is staring back at you. Time does heal and as we mature in life we learn to appreciate fleeting moments and understand that sometimes things do happen for a reason. Whether you push your wisp away or it flees on its own, it's always on the horizon. While its warmth might get cold, its light still shines bright and waits for you to "catch it if you can". Enjoy as you may.

Book excerpt: In this captivating dual narrative novel, a modern-day woman finds inspiration in hidden notes left by her home’s previous owner, a quintessential 1950s housewife. When Alice Hale leaves a career in publicity to become a writer and follows her husband to the New York suburbs, she is unaccustomed to filling her days alone in a big, empty house. But when she finds a vintage cookbook buried in a box in the old home's basement, she becomes captivated by the cookbook’s previous owner--1950s housewife Nellie Murdoch. As Alice cooks her way through the past, she realizes that within the cookbook’s pages Nellie left clues about her life--including a mysterious series of unsent letters penned to her mother. Soon Alice learns that while baked Alaska and meatloaf five ways may seem harmless, Nellie's secrets may have been anything but. Book Letters to Felice

Download or read book Letters to Felice written by Franz Kafka and published by Schocken. This book was released on 2016-12-06 with total page 626 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Franz Kafka met Felice Bauer in August 1912, at the home of his friend Max Brod. Energetic, down-to-earth, and life-affirming, the twenty-five-year-old secretary was everything Kafka was not, and he was instantly smitten. Because he was living in Prague and she in Berlin, his courtship was largely an epistolary one—passionate, self-deprecating, and anxious letters sent almost daily, sometimes even two or three times a day. But soon after their engagement was announced in 1914, Kafka began to worry that marriage would interfere with his writing and his need for solitude. The more than five hundred letters Kafka wrote to Felice—through their breakup, a second engagement in 1917, and their final parting in the fall of that year, when Kafka began to feel the effects of the tuberculosis that would eventually claim his life—reveal the full measure of his inner turmoil as he tried, in vain, to balance his desire for human connection with what he felt were the solitary demands of his craft.

Book excerpt: Three women, united by love and kinship, struggle to conform to the social norms of the times in which they lived. In 1931, Katherine Henderson leaves behind her small town in Kansas and the marriage proposal of a local boy to live on her own and work at the Sears & Roebuck glove counter in Chicago. There she meets Annie--a bold, outspoken feminist who challenges Katherine's idea of who she thinks she is and what she thinks she wants in life. In 1997, Katherine's daughter, Joan, travels to Lawrence, Kansas, to clean out her estranged mother's house. Hidden away in an old suitcase, she finds a wooden box containing trinkets and a packet of sealed letters to a person identified only by a first initial. Joan reads the unsent letters and discovers a woman completely different from the aloof and unyielding mother of her youth-a woman who had loved deeply and lost that love to circumstances beyond her control. Now she just has to find the strength to use the healing power of empathy and forgiveness to live the life she's always wanted to live.
