Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Psychiatry remains an emerging discipline. Many people suffer from ailments that have no apparent cause, no obvious cure. Quite by accident, while using hypnotherapy, Dr. Modi discovered that pastlife regression can be a beneficial treatment. Many of these patients, under hypnosis, claimed to have spirits attached to their bodies and energy fields, creating psychological and physical problems. Based on years of experience, Dr. Modi describes techniques that release these spirits, revealing how patients can sometimes recover within a few sessions. While most doctors would agree that emotional states affect our health, few would give credence to spiritual "influences." In this truly groundbreaking book, Dr. Modi presents evidence that something beyond the physical affects the health of many people, and urges medical scientists to objectively assess this revolutionary approach to mental and, often, physical illness. Pioneers have the courage to put aside the status quo and evaluate what the evidence shows, even if it defies the prevailing logic of the time. Both physicians and the general public should explore the pioneering work of Dr. Modiwork which no doubt has produced many remarkable healings.

Book Barboza s Book of Hypnotic Inductions

Download or read book Barboza s Book of Hypnotic Inductions written by John Barboza and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2020-12-08 with total page 84 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Barboza’s Book of Hypnotic Inductions is filled with creative inductions easy enough for a novice hypnotist to master and clever enough for seasoned hypnotists to ponder at. The inductions presented within the pages are understandable and translatable enough to easily put into action. John thought that the style of the vintage book cover illustration taken directly from the classic comic book ads from the 50’s to the 80’s would be fitting enough to complement the imaginative instant and rapid inductions he has assembled. The inductions vary enough so that some can be used in the office setting and others during presentations, street and stage performances and demonstrations. This book is for anyone who is interested in learning about hypnosis and others who have a basic grasp of the concept of hypnotic inductions. It is for the hypnotist who has an interest in learning new induction techniques and it’s for the seasoned hypnotists who aren’t comfortable doing instant and rapid inductions but would like to become more proficient in using them.

Book Neurypnology Or the Rationale of Nervous Sleep Book on Medical Hypnosis

Download or read book Neurypnology Or the Rationale of Nervous Sleep Book on Medical Hypnosis written by James Braid and published by BUENOS BOOKS AMERICA LLC. This book was released on 2008-12 with total page 388 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Title: Neurypnology or the Rationale of Nervous Sleep Considered in Relation with Animal Magnetism Illustrated by Numerous Cases of its Successful Application in the Relief and Cure of Disease Large print book: Text in times 16, notes in Times 14. James Braid (1795-1860) was a Scottish neurosurgeon and the inventor of a new method of inducing hypnosis. His approach to medical hypnosis was scientific and practical. As a surgeon, he used this technique to heal many patients. In this book, he describes in detail how he proceeded to successfully cure: -serious sight impairments, -deafness (even congenital deaf dumbness), -chronic or acute rheumatism, -paralysis etc... When he hypnotized a patient, he had the power -with simple techniques explained in the book- to direct or concentrate "nervous energy, raising or depressing it in a remarkable degree, at will, locally or generally," to improve capillary circulation, remove muscular tension, bring life force where needed, and balance the whole body of the patient, without needing to work with their imagination or on psychological issues. He believed that the brain was the organ of the mind, and that the mind could be acted on through the body, but was not, however, "a mere attribute of matter." Quotes from the book: About deafness: "I consequently tried it in such cases, and where there has not been destruction, or irreparable organic injury to the auditory apparatus, I can confidently say, I know of no means equal to hypnotism, for benefiting such cases. Of course, it cannot suit all cases, but I am satisfied it will succeed in a numerous class of cases, and in some which bid defiance to all other known modes of treatment." About sightimpairments: .,."before being hypnotized, she could not distinguish the capitals in the advertising columns of a newspaper. After being hypnotized, however, she could, in a few minutes, see to read the large and second heading of the newspaper, and next day, to make herself a blond cap, threading her needle WITHOUT the aid of glasses."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Eleanor Wilde has traded a career as a sham medium for a (relatively) respectable life in a small English town, providing the locals with herbal remedies and elixirs. But on a trip to the seaside town of Brighton, her past comes calling—and so does a killer . . . Though Eleanor is delighted that her brother, Liam, is visiting her in England, she must reluctantly agree that her quiet village lacks something when it comes to sightseeing—namely: sights. True, there’s nearby Castle Hartford, belonging to the family of Ellie’s boyfriend, Nicholas. But even Nicholas’s mother is eager to ditch sleepy, sweltering Sussex for a vacation in Brighton, taking Ellie and a relieved Liam with her. Yet hopes of a breezy seaside holiday quickly turn stormy, in every sense . . . The ominous change in weather is accompanied by the reappearance of Ellie’s former partner-in-crime, Armand Lamont. Back when Ellie earned a living as a phony medium, Armand’s hypnosis skills helped the pair persuade many gullible marks to hand over their savings. Ellie assumes that Armand has resurfaced with blackmail in mind, but before she can figure out his angle, she and Liam witness a man being pushed from a boat by two shadowy figures who then vanish into midair. Phantoms? Demons? Though Ellie doesn’t believe in either, the recovered body is real enough, as is a string of thefts plaguing their luxury hotel. Ellie has a theory, and it requires inviting Nicholas to join them under a fake identity. Their evolving relationship is as complex as this case, and Ellie’s authentic supernatural abilities too are developing in surprising ways. But as for whether the outcome will be good or bad, not even her witchy powers can say . . .
