Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For so long, the world, from the time of Adam up until the present, has defiled faith and its meaning to the point where the only time it is exercised is when we ask Jesus to come into our lives by faith (Rom. 10:9–10) and that's it! Faith has become defiled when man ties worldly principles to it and puts standards and limitations to it (I'll be getting to this in the book) so that man's strength alone takes over faith. Today, many believers have never hoped for something and waited for it by faith. It has never come across their minds to believe God could grant what they need because they think they are required by Him to accomplish what they need by their own strength. Man has learned to achieve what he requires by his strength, so to wait for it would be considered, today, irresponsible and crazy.

Book excerpt: Amid the chaos of cybersex, impersonal sex, adultery, homosexuality, and sexual dissatisfaction in marriage, Undefiled calls readers toward a new kind of spiritual and sexual revolution. Sexual impurity creates a vicious circle, one that springs from misconceptions about Christ and further taints our understanding of Him. Yet another circle is available to men and women trapped in sexual sin, a circle of sexual redemption. When practiced as God intends, spirituality and sexuality both draw us closer to Christ. Spiritual maturity and sexual maturity go hand-in-hand, and together they hold out the promise of redemption and restoration needed by everyone who has been damaged by sexual sin. There is hope. Real change is possible; true intimacy is available. To the person who has failed time and time again sexually, God’s message is simple: You, too, can be undefiled.

Book Faith Based Fraud

  • Author : Warren Cole Smith
  • Publisher : WildBlue Press
  • Release : 2021-05-04

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A leader of Ministry Watch examines how cases of abuse and financial corruption have hurt the church—and how to bring back integrity. We live in a secular, skeptical, and cynical age. Many Americans have lost faith in institutions—including the church. Although the vast majority of Christian leaders serve faithfully, examples of financial fraud, greed, sexual and emotional abuse, and other systemic problems are almost everyday occurrences. And a watching world has a right to ask even those who are faithful ministers of the Gospel: “If you knew this was happening, why didn’t you say something?” Whether or not honest and above-board Christian leadership like it, in the eyes of the world, our silence makes us complicit. That’s why this vital book takes a clear-eyed look at scandals in the church—from Jim and Tammy Bakker’s PTL Network to Mark Driscoll, Todd Bentley, David Jeremiah, and Bill Hybels. It is an answer to those who say that the silence of Christian leadership is approval. And although this book is sometimes tough on the church and its leaders, its purpose is not to tear down the evangelical church, but to restore it to its rightful place of influence in the culture and in the lives of people who desperately need its message of grace and truth. “Explains why shining sunlight on churches and ministries in America is important.” —Paul Glader, Director of the McCandlish Phillips Journalism Institute, The King’s College

Book Wisdom to Persevere in Faith

Download or read book Wisdom to Persevere in Faith written by Russell M. Stendal and published by Ransom Press International. This book was released on 2023-02-28 with total page 124 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Today we see an increasing number of headlines focused on Evangelicalism and Christian Nationalism, bringing the matter of being Christian under great scrutiny. As Christians, we must ask ourselves whether we can be scrutinized and found desirable by both God and man. Many who profess to be Christians might say this is impossible, but is that really what the Scriptures teach? Man’s wrath is very different from God’s wrath. God is slow to anger. On a human level in the world around us, individuals and even entire groups are continually riled up and insulting one another. None of this effectuates the righteousness of God. James 1:21 entreats us to leave all uncleanness and remains of malice and receive with meekness the word ingested within you, which is able to cause your souls to be saved. God has the purpose for his children to be examples to those around them. The books of James and Jude have much to say regarding what this should look like and how it is accomplished, which is to receive the wisdom prepared for us. Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness neither shadow of turning. (James 1:16-17) God desires to give good and perfect gifts to his children who ask in faith, not doubting anything. In fact, he is the only source of anything good and perfect. He is the Father of lights. He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the light of the world and who does not change, and his plans and expectations for us remain constant. Jesus told his disciples that corporately, Ye are the light of the world. The plan of the Father of lights is to bring us out of darkness and into his light so that he can place his life and love and light in us for all the world to see.
