Book The Master List Uncovered

Download or read book The Master List Uncovered written by Michael W. Dewar and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2009-08 with total page 274 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Master List Uncovered is based upon Michael Dewar's pastoral preaching and teachings over the years; it is an encouragement to believers, to be steadfast in their faith. But it is primarily a trumpet call to people everywhere─Christians, Gentiles, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists and especially those without a religious faith─ to urgently contemplate their end-of-life destination, and make the necessary change now by accepting God's redemptive offer of eternal life. The compelling message of the book is that every human being will spend his or her eternity in one of two destinations and that destination choice must be made before physical death occurs or it will be made by default. The default choice guarantees eternal death but the conscious, deliberate choice of redemption guarantees eternal life in a hilariously happy place. A person without a chosen end-of life destination is a candidate for the eternal Lake of Burning Sulfur by default. You are listed in one of God's two record books: the book of life or the book of wrath. Your listing determines your eternal destination. The good news is, you can change your listing and destination but the time to act is now.

Compared to participation by Americans in other jihadist groups, the scale of American involvement in jihadist activity today is unprecedented. This book, from one of the leading counter-terror centres, draws on first-hand interviews with former American Islamic State members and law enforcement officials who tracked them, and includes detailed analysis of the court cases against them and their social media presence. Homegrown reveals how and why ISIS was able to radicalize and recruit a new generation of jihadist sympathizers in America.

Brophy, PhD, focuses on the mysterious Nabta Playa site in southern Egypt and its connection to African history. Researcher Steven Sora, author of The Lost Colony, delves into evidence that Scotland’s Picts originated in North America and were connected to the ancient Micmac tribe of the Americas. Philip Coppens of the History Channel’s Ancient Aliens explores an ancient Celtic network of roads that may be connected to a 4,000-year-old land-based reproduction of Atlantis. Scholar and mystery explorer Oberon Zell-Ravenheart brings together the Garden of Eden, the Tree of Life, the great deluge, and the sinking of Lemuria. Marie D. Jones & Larry Flaxman (11:11: The Time Prompt Phenomenon) explore what ancient civilizations knew about sound and resonance, and how they may have used them to build megaliths and pyramids, and achieve altered states. Journalist Nick Redfern reveals the U.S. government’s abiding interest in our ancient past, religious mysteries, and enigmatic artifacts. Evidence of these ancient mysteries is everywhere—if you know what to look for. Book The Origins and Character of the Ancient Chinese City

Download or read book The Origins and Character of the Ancient Chinese City written by Paul Wheatley and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-07-12 with total page 438 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: These two volumes elucidate the manner in which there emerged, on the North China plain, hierarchically structured, functionally specialized social institutions organized on a political and territorial basis during the second millennium b.c. They describe the way in which, during subsequent centuries, these institutes were diffused through much of the rest of North and Central China. Author Paul Wheatley equates the emergence of the ceremonial center, as evidenced in Shang China, with a functional and developmental stage in urban genesis, and substantiates his argument with comparative evidence from the Americas, Mesopotamia, Egypt, Southeast Asia, the Mediterranean, and the Yoruba territories. The Origins and Character of the Ancient Chinese City seeks in small measure to help redress the current imbalance between our knowledge of the contemporary, Western-style city on the one hand, and of the urbanism characteristic of the traditional world on the other. Those aspects of urban theory which have been derived predominantly from the investigation of Western urbanism, are tested against, rather than applied to ancient China. The Origins and Character of the Ancient Chinese City examines the cosmological symbolism of the Chinese city, constructed as a world unto itself. It suggests, with a wealth of argument and evidence, that this cosmo-magical role underpinned the functional unity of the city everywhere, until new bases for urban life began to develop in the Hellenistic world. Whereas the majority of previous investigations into the nature of the Chinese city have been undertaken from the standpoint of elites, The Origins and Character of the Ancient Chinese City has adopted a point of view closer to that of the social scientist than the geographer.
