Book tude microstructurale de gels et de couches minces de SnO2

Download or read book tude microstructurale de gels et de couches minces de SnO2 written by Wael Hamd and published by Editions Universitaires Europeennes. This book was released on 2011-11 with total page 152 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Ceramic Materials

Download or read book Ceramic Materials written by Philippe Boch and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2010-01-05 with total page 593 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is primarily an introduction to the vast family of ceramic materials. The first part is devoted to the basics of ceramics and processes: raw materials, powders synthesis, shaping and sintering. It discusses traditional ceramics as well as “technical” ceramics – both oxide and non-oxide – which have multiple developments. The second part focuses on properties and applications, and discusses both structural and functional ceramics, including bioceramics. The fields of abrasion, cutting and tribology illustrate the importance of mechanical properties. It also deals with the questions/answers of a ceramicist regarding electronuclear technology. As chemistry is an essential discipline for ceramicists, the book shows, in particular, what soft chemistry can contribute as a result of sol-gel methods.

Book Handbook of Transparent Conductors

Download or read book Handbook of Transparent Conductors written by David S. Ginley and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2010-09-11 with total page 537 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Transparent conducting materials are key elements in a wide variety of current technologies including flat panel displays, photovoltaics, organic, low-e windows and electrochromics. The needs for new and improved materials is pressing, because the existing materials do not have the performance levels to meet the ever- increasing demand, and because some of the current materials used may not be viable in the future. In addition, the field of transparent conductors has gone through dramatic changes in the last 5-7 years with new materials being identified, new applications and new people in the field. “Handbook of Transparent Conductors” presents transparent conductors in a historical perspective, provides current applications as well as insights into the future of the devices. It is a comprehensive reference, and represents the most current resource on the subject.

  • Author : G. Sberveglieri
  • Publisher : Springer Science & Business Media
  • Release : 2012-12-06
  • ISBN : 9401127379

Download or read book Gas Sensors written by G. Sberveglieri and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 413 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There were two reasons that induced me to plan and to organize this book, the first was the lack of a text entirely devoted to the subject of gas sensors, notwithstanding some books devoted to the various kind of chemical sensors have recently been published. The second reason was the need of introducing the basic topics of gas detection mechanisms to a growing number of researchers active in research and development laboratories of industries and uni versities. The field of chemical sensors is indeed in fast and consistent growth, as it is proved by the increased number of participants to the congresses that were recently held on this subject, namely the Third Meeting on Chemical Sensors (September 24 - 26, 1990, Cleveland), Transducers' 91 (June 24 - 27, 1991, S. Francisco) and EUROSENSORS V (September 30 - October 3, 1991, Rome). Therefore, this book is mainly intended as a reference text for researchers with a MS degree in physics, chemistry and electrical engineering; it reports the last progresses in the R. & D. and in the technology of gas sensors. I choose to deal specifically with the topic of gas sensors because these devices show a very large number of applications in the domestic and industrial field and they are characterized by a great effort of research and development.

Contributors to the individual volumes are carefully selected by an international editorial board who ensure that as many innovative studies as possible are included. Each article describes a specific topic and is the original work of an expert working in the front lines of chemical sensor research. Contributors are encouraged to describe not only the academic or technological essence of the subject, but also the background and philosophy, evaluation and achievements and future problems. In this way, each topic is described in sufficient depth so as to be useful and stimulating to readers.

Book Low temperature Far infrared Spectra of Germanium and Silicon

Download or read book Low temperature Far infrared Spectra of Germanium and Silicon written by Peter J. Gielisse and published by . This book was released on 1964 with total page 20 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: New high-resolution low-temperature (7.5K) far-infrared data on intrinsic germanium and silicon are presented. The findings further substantiate the naturally anticipated similarities in band patterns of the vibrational spectra of diamond type crystals. The low temperature spectra of germanium and silicon show clearly resolved splits in their principal absorption bands analogous to the intriguing doublet in the ca. 2000/cm band in diamond. A possible explanation is indicated. The room temperature far-infrared refractive index of both germanium and silicon and the 7.5K refractive index of germanium have been measured by means of interference fringes. (Author).
