Download or read book Innovations in Smart Cities Applications Volume 5 written by Mohamed Ben Ahmed and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2022-03-03 with total page 1117 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book sets the innovative research contributions, works, and solutions for almost all the intelligent and smart applications in the smart cities. The smart city concept is a relevant topic for industrials, governments, and citizens. Due to this, the smart city, considered as a multi-domain context, attracts tremendously academics researchers and practitioners who provide efforts in theoretical proofs, approaches, architectures, and in applied researches. The importance of smart cities comes essentially from the significant growth of populations in the near future which conducts to a real need of smart applications that can support this evolution in the future cities. The main scope of this book covers new and original ideas for the next generations of cities using the new technologies. The book involves the application of the data science and AI, IoT technologies and architectures, smart earth and water management, smart education and E-learning systems, smart modeling systems, smart mobility, and renewable energy. It also reports recent research works on big data technologies, image processing and recognition systems, and smart security and privacy.

The book could also be used as a supplementary text for senior undergraduate courses on biomass processing. Features: Provides a concise overview of all currently available biomass processing technologies Includes relatively recent technologies such as Biochar Contains numerous industry examples and case studies Covers the science and technology behind biomass processing as well as the economics, including the effect of carbon taxation
Download or read book Energy from Organic Materials Biomass written by Martin Kaltschmitt and published by Springer. This book was released on 2018-07-21 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This comprehensive reference is a state-of-the-art survey of biomass as an energy carrier for the provision of heat, electricity, and transportation fuel, considering technical, economic, environmental, and social aspects. On a global scale, biomass contributes roughly 12 to 16 % of the energy needed to cover the overall primary energy consumption. Thus far, it is humanity’s most important source of renewable energy, used on practically all continents and growing in importance even in industrialized nations. With detailed coverage of the production of solid, gaseous and liquid fuels, as well as a final energy provision, this volume serves as an introduction for readers just entering the field, but also offers new insights, up-to-date information, as well as latest findings for advanced researchers, industry experts, and decision makers.

Due to rapid development in the fields of pharmacology and bio-availability and to enhance shelf-life of products, two new chapters have been added respectively; Herb Drug Interactions and a chapter on Liposomes and Phytosomes.
Download or read book Composition Chimique Et Valorisation Energetique Des Biomasses written by Bruno Godin and published by Univ Europeenne. This book was released on 2013-06-27 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
