Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: TRIBULATION CLOSER THAN WE THINK ____________________________ After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence. (Hosea 6:2 NIV.) ___________________________ Israel is Gods prophetic time clock. The Nation Israel was revived (barely) in 1948. Are we now living in the third day, according to Hoseas prophecy, in which Israel will be totally restored and live in the presence of the Lord during the Millennium? FOLLOW STEP-BY-STEP END-TIMES PROPHECIES Pertinent to our times of increasing worldwide disasters of earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions, pollution, and changing weather patterns possibly leading to food shortages, plus political and economic turmoil, this book is non-denominational tracking the Scriptures in an easy to understand outline of prophecy beginning with Christs birth and going through end-times with a scenario that reconciles scientific data to the Biblical account of the creations. It includes prophecies of Christs birth and their fulfillment, the beautiful angel Lucifers (Satan) fall, Israels final punishment, rise of the Anti-Christ, the Great Tribulation, Christs Second Coming, life during the Millennium, the Judgment Seat of Christ, the Great White Throne Judgment, how the Second Death relates to Hell, and finally the glories awaiting Christians in eternity.

Book excerpt: We applaud men for doing good things. We enshrine God for doing great things. But what about a man who does God things? One thing is certain. We can't ignore him. If these moments are factual, if the claim of Christ is actual, then he was, at once, man and God. The single most significant person who ever lived. Forget MVP. He is the entire league. The head of the parade? Hardly. No one else shares the street. Who comes close? Humanity's best and brightest fade like dime-store rubies next to him. Dismiss him? We can't. Resist him? Equally difficult. Why would we want to? Don't we need a God-man Savior? A just-God Jesus could make us, but not understand us. A just-man Jesus could love us, but never save us. But a God-man Jesus? Near enough to touch. Strong enough to trust. A next door Savior.

My name is Patti Davy and I chose to share my feelings and emotions that have occurred because of the molestation in my past. This book is filled with the raw emotions that occur from such trauma that can be hard for some to read but that is not my intent. I did the writing to reach out to people who are in the same situation as me to let them know that they are not alone and that there is hope. There are many of us out in today's world that are hurting and suffering from this horrendous act and are forced to deal with it alone or to keep quiet. The truth of the matter is that this crime affects many aspects of our society through drug use, alcohol, divorce, spousal abuse, child abuse, and the list just goes on. So by sharing my experiences through my poetry I hope I can reach out to someone and let them know that they are not alone. May you calm the storm within your heart that you so desire and become a survivor of your past.

Book Three Views on the Rapture

Download or read book Three Views on the Rapture written by Craig A. Blaising and published by Zondervan Academic. This book was released on 2018-06-26 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The rapture--or the belief that Jesus' living followers will, at some point, join him forever while others do not--is an important but contested doctrine among evangelicals. Scholars generally hold one of three perspectives on the timing and circumstances of the rapture, all of which are presented in this important volume of the Counterpoints series, Three Views on the Rapture: Alan D. Hultberg (PhD, Trinity International University and professor of New Testament at Talbot School of Theology) explains the Pre-Wrath view. Craig Blaising (PhD, Dallas Theological Seminary and president of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary) defends the Pre-Tribulation view. Douglas Moo (PhD, University of St. Andrews and professor of New Testament at Wheaton College) sets forth the Post-Tribulation view. Each author provides a substantive explanation of his position, which is critiqued by the other two authors. A thorough introduction gives a historical overview of the doctrine of the rapture and its effects on the church. The interactive and fair-minded format of the Counterpoints series allows readers to consider the strengths and weaknesses of each view and draw informed, personal conclusions.

Book Church and the Tribulation

Download or read book Church and the Tribulation written by Robert H. Gundry and published by Zondervan Academic. This book was released on 2010-08-03 with total page 230 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the opening chapter, Robert Gundry states, "It is hoped that the following pages will contribute to an understanding and appreciation of the posttribulational position and that it will do so in a manner characterized by 'wisdom from above. . . First pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy' (James 3:17)." In keeping with this expressed desire, the author presents his thesis regarding Christ's second coming, not as a polemical argument, but as a reasonable and tenable position. This book propounds the thesis that Jesus will return after the tribulation and that the first resurrection will occur at that time. Dr. Gundry believes that biblical evidence points most naturally to this conclusion. Because of his discerning analysis of Scripture, his careful logic, and the thoughtful presentation of his views, he is one of today's leading spokesmen for posttribulational eschatology.

Book The End May Be Much Nearer Than We Think

Download or read book The End May Be Much Nearer Than We Think written by James Lee and published by . This book was released on 2013-08-11 with total page 54 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In my adult Sunday school class on December 12, 1982, I spoke to the class about the Theory of Evolution and expressed my beliefs about how that theory is affecting our life and how it will lead to the Great Tribulation. Remarkable as such a statement may sound I believe it to be very much the truth. Therefore, I have written this book to retrace the steps that led to the above lecture and also to share my findings concerning the relationship that exists between the Theory of Evolution and the Great Tribulation. I hope to relate in this summary not just a review of that Sunday morning class but also to provide a trail of my research. Perhaps, after reading these pages, my reader will be led to conclude, as I already have, that the end may be much nearer than we think.Chapter one will present the reason for all of my research. In trying to teach the Book of Revelation, I found several questions about the Great Tribulation that I could not answer but felt should be answered. With all of those questions on my mind, I left the Book of Revelation knowing that my learning was not complete and that it would not be complete until I learned some more answers about the Tribulation.Chapter two will move away from the Tribulation for a bit and follow the class into a study of the book of Genesis. However, it will appear again based on my examination of that one book right after having studied the other. From that sequence of events, I was able to see that the accounts of those two seemingly unrelated events, Creation and the Tribulation, were drawn closer and closer. In chapter three, the Theory of Evolution will be shown to be the catalyst that will eventually set off the Great Tribulation. That chapter will discuss the devil and his tactics and also look at four reasons why the Tribulation may be near. Finally, in chapter four, the Book of Revelation will be examined again in narrative form to answer those questions that had initially been raised in chapter one. I know that we will never stop the trend of our society to oppose God. So we must use our time wisely and prepare ourselves and our families against the inevitable future. We must turn to the Lord while there is still time.Even though I did not realize it at the time, my research into the above topics more than thirty years ago actually touched closely upon dispensational theology. The second head-to-head confrontation in this book matches the Edenic covenant which corresponds to the first dispensation. The third head-to-head confrontation in this book matches the Adamic covenant which corresponds to the second dispensation. The fourth head-to-head confrontation in this book matches the Noahic covenant which corresponds to the third dispensation. The fifth head-to-head confrontation in this book matches the New Covenant which corresponds to the sixth dispensation. The sixth head-to-head confrontation in this book matches the Davidic Covenant which corresponds to the seventh dispensation. While they may not match perfectly, they are close enough that I consider myself a dispensationalist based upon my own independent study.
