Volume III, the longest of the work, is similar in scope to Volume II except that the majority of the entries are for Georgia officers and soldiers, with only some material relating to other states. John Duke, who was born in 1640, was the first group 2 ancestor to be born in colonial America. He married Elizabeth King, and the Duke line of Group 2 was officially "born."
