Download or read book Tracing His Goodness written by Colleen Bundy and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2018-08-27 with total page 200 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In September of 2015, my 24 year old daughter, Marissa, was diagnosed with Stage III triple negative breast cancer. I started this blog as a way to trace God's goodness through the hard. After 20 weeks of chemo and a double mastectomy, the cancer recurred in May 2016. She courageously fought for 10 more months. On March 6, 2017, Marissa finished her fight here and went home to glory where she is right now fully experiencing God's goodness. We miss her, but we trace His goodness as we continue our journey without her. Someday we will see her. Someday we will weep no more. Someday we will see all the glories of God displayed. Until then, we know Him. We trust Him. He is good.

Download or read book Eyes Up written by Alexandra Hoover and published by B&H Publishing Group. This book was released on 2022-05-24 with total page 184 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Where were you, God? I can't see your hand in my story. Have you ever really shown up for me? Your heart might be good, but just not to me.” If you've thought these things, you aren't alone. Author and speaker Alexandra Hoover has been in that dark place too. In her debut book, Eyes Up, she reveals that God offers a clear way out—by getting your eyes off your surroundings and raising them up to the Ebenezer stone moments in your life. Ebenezer stone by Ebenezer stone, God did this for Alexandra, helping her trace his grace. He lifted her eyes to see the places He had met her and helped her along, even in the darkest parts of the story, and on top of that, He casted vision for her mission and purpose as a member of His family. And now, in Eyes Up, you can experience the very same thing as you learn to: Chart your own Ebenezer-journey with God, stone by stone Learn how to embrace God's sovereignty in every twist and turn of your life Enjoy the gift of confident faith, no matter what part of the story you face today Walk away with your own clear testimony of God’s faithfulness in your life to share with others who need help and faith right now Understand your place in God's family and His mission for your life Are you ready to finally see God's hand at work in countless moments that lay behind you—and more than that, trust His heart and see His vision for the moments ahead? Then look up with Alexandra to the Ebenezer stones that God has not only built in your story, but wants to use in mighty, missional ways.

Download or read book Gods Concubine written by Sara Douglass and published by Macmillan + ORM. This book was released on 2007-04-01 with total page 628 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From ancient Greece they came, remnants of the glorious Trojans. Led by Brutus, Kingman, holder of the bands of gold that wield the very magic of the Gods, these travelers are bowed but not broken, and they have come to Albion to begin anew. A vision of beauty called them to create a new Troy, and when they landed on the shores of the land that became Britain, they found an old magic that was fading. And so they began to construct a new Labyrinth, a place of magic that will bring unimaginable power to those who can control it. The temptress who brought Brutus to this land seeks to use him for her own purposes, but in that she fails, for it is the bride of Brutus who dooms the completion of the labyrinth . . . and sends all the players in this drama---handsome Brutus, his beautiful wife, Cornelia, and the sensuous and deadly Genvissa---into a hell of death and rebirth, until the Labyrinth is completed and the ancient magic is set free. A thousand years pass. Cathedrals rise in place of mud and wattle huts, hymns to saints replace odes to Celtic and Greek gods. But the magic from the dawn of time waits, and the players are not yet done with their destinies. They have new faces and new bodies, but old souls---and not all who have come back remember their parts in this drama. There are kings and princes, deadly court intrigues, and ancient powers awoken. And a warrior across the sea who only waits for his opportunity to finish what was started centuries before . . . Kara Tippetts knows the ordinary days of mothering four kids, the joy of watching her children grow ... and the devestating reality of stage-four cancer. In The Hardest Peace, Kara doesn't offer answers for when living is hard, but she asks us to join her in moving away from fear and control and toward peace and grace. Most of all, she draws us back to the God who is with us, in the mundane and the suffering, and who shapes even our pain into beauty.
