This book was released on 2019-04-10 with total page 112 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The main aim of the book is to sensitive relevant authorities ( that is the Federal and State governments and the organized private sector on the other hand) to see the need to revive the production of tin, columbite, tantalite and other related solid minerals in Plateau State, Nigeria, Africa and the world at large. This is a sector that once produced massive quantity of tin and columbite which aid the Great Bratain's industrial sector with raw materials and it equally provides mass and easy employment to millions of Nigerian youths in the past. Resuscitating for investment means that if the weak industry is revived, it will attract large numbers of investors from within the country and from without. when this important sector of the mining industry is revived it will serve as a good source of internally generated revenue which the government of Nigeria is in dire need, due to shortfall in income to effectively service the economy. The book will be sufficiently relevant to the following category of people who are closely related to the subject matter viz: -1.Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal ministry of Solid minerals and the Federal ministry of science and technology.2.Plateau State government through its State ministry of mines and energy.3.All students of tertiary education in the department of Mining engineering, geology and mining and History department.4.Independent Practicing Mining company directors and managers engage in the business of Tin, Columbite, Tantalite and other related mineral ores.5.Professional historians, private and public Archiving institutions in Nigeria, Africa and the World.6. Book Elements of Cabotage Law in Nigeria

Download or read book Elements of Cabotage Law in Nigeria written by Obafemi Ademola Adekola and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2018-03-07 with total page 346 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A thorough examination of the recent economic (mis-)fortunes of Nigeria, the so-called giant of Africa, would reveal the unrealistic economic practice of depending on one major resource to fund the running of government, economic growth, and infrastructural development. This impractical approach to the management of the economy is magnified by the fact that Nigeria, as a country, is put in a precarious situation whenever there is a temporal or permanent price decline in the global crude oil market as this automatically translates to a reduction of the revenue available to government. This work is an attempt to present discussions into developing a Long-term and Strategic Economic Development Module for all regions and government in Nigeria. It is aimed at exposing Nigeria and Nigerians to the numerous benefits accruable in the development of its indigenous maritime economy. An attempt is made here to empirically rationalize the diversification of the Nigerian economy with its recent cabotage policies forming the foundation of an economy that emphasizes on shipping and associated mining and agricultural industries for the majority of its revenue. In order to justify this position, we undertake a careful analysis of the business histories of credible shipping companies like the precolonial Elder Dempster line and also the fast-growing Chinese auto manufacturing industries with a view to magnify their successes worthy of emulation. We have also compared some aspects of the US internal maritime structure with that of Nigeria and have exposed the practice of Japan in developing regions through the establishment of sea ports. It is intended that this book would serve as a personal and patriotic contribution to the Heads of Government as they strategize the reestablishment of Nigeria as the brightest investment destination in the global economic horizon in a bid to spark the recognition of our great nation as an emerging giant in the World Economic Order.
