Book Three Little Church Birds

Download or read book Three Little Church Birds written by Darlinda Turner and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2019-12-27 with total page 23 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is about Mother Reba P. Richardson Jackson. She was a lady of class and loved to get dressed up and wear fancy hats. She was a lady that walked with authority. She always had Pearls and a scarf around her neck. She was a Proverbs 31 woman. The scriptures fits her: Proverbs 31:15, 20, 22 KJV 15: “She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. 20: She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. 22: She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.” The book tells how she sang from church to church. She was a Devotional Leader and Prayer Warrior. Her life was taken care of her 22 children and singing. In Spite of her having Cancer in her throat before and her mouth was twisted from a tumor, it never stopped her from singing. She loved to bless others when she would sing. Singing was a way she said “Thanks to the Lord for all He has done for her.” All the songs that are mentioned in the book were some of her favorite. “Especially during Sunday morning church service.” The Song Bird was chosen to show how free she could fly around God’s creation and sing. I pray that this book will bless all ages. I just want the world to know how much my Grandmother had an impact on my life.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Three Little Birds: Faith, Hope, and Love is a raw and true story written during the life and loss of Jacqueline Martin's third child, James Robert. This story is meant to inspire and counsel readers, especially those facing a difficult journey of their own. James was born prematurely and with a rare congenital heart defect on May 17, 2011, and passed away on September 14, 2011. Three Little Birds: Faith, Hope, and Love is a testimony to the power of prayer and provides proof that God made sure Jacqueline and her family did not have to face this painful journey to physical and emotional wholeness alone. Jacqueline's story speaks about her personal experience as a mom and about her attempt to live her life faithfully as a Christian while she managed the toughest trial of her life during a "parent's worst nightmare" losing a child. Living life as a Christian means living life to a higher calling. Jacqueline's story is about taking a parent's worst nightmare and turning it into something extraordinary by improving the lives of others one baby step at a time. Imbued in Jacqueline's writing is the Martin family's message of faith, hope, and love in a direct metaphor for the three little birds. The three little birds are represented by her three children, as well as the greatest gifts of God. Everyone endures hardships in their lives and receives tests of their faith during these difficult times. These tests of faith enable us to continue to count as well as remember our blessings. They seem to hide the world's nature and beautiful colors, silencing the chirping and singing of birds. During difficult times, community and help from others allow us to continue standing and to get through the trials. With the help of others, the world's colors shine brightly and open our eyes to different experiences, trials, and journeys in our life as well as the journeys of others.

Book Three Little Birds

Download or read book Three Little Birds written by Liana Stemp and published by Troubador Publishing Ltd. This book was released on 2022-08-02 with total page 280 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Three Little Birds is the raw and inspiring personal account of what it’s like to experience the devastation of infant loss. Written at the time of her experience and after, the book is based on Liana Stemp, whose life through pregnancy, birth and babies has been anything but easy. Opening with telling the story of the past seven years, it includes what it’s like to experience difficult pregnancies, unimaginable miscarriages, and the hell of going through birth trauma, including the consequences thereafter, which ultimately led to PTSD and post-natal depression. We experience the pregnancy with Liana, which turns out to be a nine-month emotional rollercoaster, from experiencing sudden prenatal epilepsy which results in a car crash with her daughter, to find out her unborn child had CDH, a serious health complication. Not only this but also the back and forth as to whether the pregnancy could continue as the baby continued to grow. The relief that it could continue, only then to discover the extent of baby Brandon’s condition and the subsequent ups and downs of the neonatal intensive care unit. Finally, this ends in the shattering experience of watching your baby slip away. We then glimpse the ‘after’ – brutally honest, it’s an eye-opening look into the world of grief and how others’ kindness can be beautiful and difficult at the same time. All in all, the book covers a lot of subjects surrounding pregnancy, miscarriage, birth trauma, baby loss and a year in the life of a mother living with grief, with the spiral of Covid-19 happening to fall amidst it all. Three Little Birds is ultimately an inspirational, yet a harrowing journey through infant loss and beyond.

Book The Lily of the Field and the Bird of the Air

Download or read book The Lily of the Field and the Bird of the Air written by Søren Kierkegaard and published by Princeton University Press. This book was released on 2016-03-01 with total page 127 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A masterful new translation of one of Kierkegaard's most engaging works In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus tells his followers to let go of earthly concerns by considering the lilies of the field and the birds of the air. Søren Kierkegaard's short masterpiece on this famous gospel passage draws out its vital lessons for readers in a rapidly modernizing and secularizing world. Trenchant, brilliant, and written in stunningly lucid prose, The Lily of the Field and the Bird of the Air (1849) is one of Kierkegaard's most important books. Presented here in a fresh new translation with an informative introduction, this profound yet accessible work serves as an ideal entrée to an essential modern thinker. The Lily of the Field and the Bird of the Air reveals a less familiar but deeply appealing side of the father of existentialism—unshorn of his complexity and subtlety, yet supremely approachable. As Kierkegaard later wrote of the book, "Without fighting with anybody and without speaking about myself, I said much of what needs to be said, but movingly, mildly, upliftingly." This masterful edition introduces one of Kierkegaard's most engaging and inspiring works to a new generation of readers.

Book Unlikely Angel

Download or read book Unlikely Angel written by Lydia R. Hamessley and published by University of Illinois Press. This book was released on 2020-10-12 with total page 280 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dolly Parton's success as a performer and pop culture phenomenon has overshadowed her achievements as a songwriter. But she sees herself as a songwriter first, and with good reason. Parton's compositions like "I Will Always Love You" and "Jolene" have become American standards with an impact far beyond country music. Lydia R. Hamessley's expert analysis and Parton’s characteristically straightforward input inform this comprehensive look at the process, influences, and themes that have shaped the superstar's songwriting artistry. Hamessley reveals how Parton’s loving, hardscrabble childhood in the Smoky Mountains provided the musical language, rhythms, and memories of old-time music that resonate in so many of her songs. Hamessley further provides an understanding of how Parton combines her cultural and musical heritage with an artisan’s sense of craft and design to compose eloquent, painfully honest, and gripping songs about women's lives, poverty, heartbreak, inspiration, and love. Filled with insights on hit songs and less familiar gems, Unlikely Angel covers the full arc of Dolly Parton's career and offers an unprecedented look at the creative force behind the image.
