Book The Third Period Known as Fall or Autumn

Download or read book The Third Period Known as Fall or Autumn written by Fitzroy Joseph and published by Dorrance Publishing. This book was released on 2015-12-17 with total page 46 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dr. Fitzroy Gregory Joseph wants us to see nature’s manifestation in its unarguable beauty, yet harsh nakedness, unapologetic, untouched by human arrogance and glibness of tongue. Trees are part of the universe to be taken seriously as living entities alongside us. Note their persistence and sustainability in spite of human callousness and frequent myopia. In the midst of all, the majesty of the stalwart trees and the incandescence from the ray of exotic leafy colors on the threshold of demise (winter) reflect a hope of spring rejuvenation, a resurrection. If only human beings can see the parallel in our lives and conclude with appreciative respect for trees on this planet.

Book excerpt: This accessible text provides a comprehensive narrative and interpretative account of the entire history of the Communist International, 1919-1943. By incorporating the most recent Western and Soviet research the authors explain the legendary complexities of Comintern history and chart its degeneration from a revolutionary internationalist organisation into an obedient instrument of Soviet foreign policy. Key themes include: continuities and discontinuities between the Leninist and Stalinist phases, Bolshevisation versus national traditions, and the role of leading individuals in the Comintern apparatus. A selection of documents will elucidate these central themes.

Book The Communist International and US Communism 1919 1929

Download or read book The Communist International and US Communism 1919 1929 written by Jacob Zumoff and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2014-08-21 with total page 455 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the Cold War, most historians have set up an opposition between the “American” and “international” aspects of early American Communism. This book examines the development of the Communist Party in its first decade, from 1919 to 1929. Using the archives of the Communist International, this book, in contrast to previous studies, argues that the International played an important role in the early part of this decade in forcing the party to “Americanise”. Special attention is given to the attempts by the Comintern to orient American Communists on the role of black oppression, and to see the struggle for black liberation and the fight for socialism as inextricably linked. The later sections of the book provide the most detailed account now available of how the Comintern, reflecting the Stalinisation of the Soviet Union, intervened in the American party to ensure the Stalinisation of American Communism.

Book Government Auditing Standards 2018 Revision

Download or read book Government Auditing Standards 2018 Revision written by United States Government Accountability Office and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2019-03-24 with total page 234 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Audits provide essential accountability and transparency over government programs. Given the current challenges facing governments and their programs, the oversight provided through auditing is more critical than ever. Government auditing provides the objective analysis and information needed to make the decisions necessary to help create a better future. The professional standards presented in this 2018 revision of Government Auditing Standards (known as the Yellow Book) provide a framework for performing high-quality audit work with competence, integrity, objectivity, and independence to provide accountability and to help improve government operations and services. These standards, commonly referred to as generally accepted government auditing standards (GAGAS), provide the foundation for government auditors to lead by example in the areas of independence, transparency, accountability, and quality through the audit process. This revision contains major changes from, and supersedes, the 2011 revision.
