Book Thermodynamic Properties Of Isomerization Reactions

Download or read book Thermodynamic Properties Of Isomerization Reactions written by M. L. Frenkel and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2020-08-26 with total page 244 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This handbook presents the thermodynamic functions obtained primarily from the results of equilibrium studies of isomerization reactions and by measurements of the heats of combustion of isomer groups by the calorimetric method.

Book Hydrocarbon Thermal Isomerizations

Download or read book Hydrocarbon Thermal Isomerizations written by Joseph J. Gajewski and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2004-03-19 with total page 465 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hydrocarbon Thermal Isomerizations summarizes rearrangements which are induced by heating neutral hydrocarbons under non-catalytic conditions in the vapor phase or in non-polar solution. This subject has attracted the interest of mechanistic organic chemists and theorists in the last quarter century because it is one of the few fields workable by state of the art techniques of both camps. This work collects together most of the crucial rate and stereochemical data in a single volume, along with a critical analysis of each of these reactions. Unlike reviews or other books in this area that focus on reaction types, e.g.. electrocyclic reactions, or Claisen rearrangements, this volume is organized like the Chemical Abstracts Formula Index, but with an important exception: all of the relevant derivatives of each parent compound are discussed with the parent and not in their logical formula index positions. As it is not always obvious what is a parent material and what is a derivative, detailed cross-references are included throughout. An important aspect of this edition is the inclusion of calculational results that provide insight, often more than was anticipated, into these relatively simple reactions. Energetics of thermal isomerization reactions Stereochemistry of thermal isomerization reactions Organization to facilitate and integrate global analyses Comparison of experimental and theoretical results

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Nutrition and Health series of books has as an overriding mission to provide health professionals with texts that are considered essential because each includes: a synthesis of the state of the science; timely, in-depth reviews by the leading researchers in their respective fields; extensive, up-to-date fully annotated reference lists; a detailed index; relevant tables and figures; identification of paradigm shifts and the consequences; of information between chapters, but targeted, inter-chapter refer virtually no overlap rals, suggestions of areas for future research; and balanced, data-driven answers to patient questions that are based on the totality of evidence rather than the findings of any single study. The series volumes are not the outcome of a symposium. Rather, each editor has the potential to examine a chosen area with a broad perspective, both in subject matter as well as in the choice of chapter authors. The international perspective, especially with regard to public health initiatives, is emphasized where appropriate. The editors, whose training is both research and practice oriented, have the opportunity to develop a primary objective for their book, define the scope and focus, and then invite the leading authori ties from around the world to be part of their initiative. The authors are encouraged to provide an overview of the field, discuss their own research, and relate the research de findings to potential human health consequences.

Book Engineering and Chemical Thermodynamics

Download or read book Engineering and Chemical Thermodynamics written by Milo D. Koretsky and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2012-12-17 with total page 724 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Chemical engineers face the challenge of learning the difficult concept and application of entropy and the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics. By following a visual approach and offering qualitative discussions of the role of molecular interactions, Koretsky helps them understand and visualize thermodynamics. Highlighted examples show how the material is applied in the real world. Expanded coverage includes biological content and examples, the Equation of State approach for both liquid and vapor phases in VLE, and the practical side of the 2nd Law. Engineers will then be able to use this resource as the basis for more advanced concepts.
