And farther, as atmospheric air, with all its intermixtures and qualities, and properties, must be entangled in certain porous articles, it is reasonable, on all fair and theoretic grounds, to believe that many such articles may become fomites, and convey the disease, or the cause of the disease for we do not, and cannot, know how much may be contained of the poison in any given bulk of air, or how much air must be inhaled or applied to the surface to be efficient.
