Download or read book The Unwanted Baby the Sequel written by Lone Wolf and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2018-08-16 with total page 326 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This story begins at the eighth week of a young mothers pregnancy. The small life inside the young mother from the time of conception is unwanted and unloved. However, the baby arrives safely into the world. Being unwanted and unloved, another miracle would come; the babys parental grandparents accepts the baby as their own and raised this life in a godly home. As the child grows into its adolescent years, the story takes a turn into an adventurous twist, keeping you on the edge of your seat. The Unwanted Baby the Sequel: A Father with Custody A young alcoholic father is abandoned by the mother, leaving him with four small children to raise. It would seem as if she vanished from earth. It would be fourteen years before she would make an attempt to reconnect with her children. The five of us would be rejected and turned out to the cold winter streets by our own family, leaving the five of us homeless, cold, and hungry. Threats to our lives by neighbors caused us to live in constant fear for our lives. The continued craving for the alcohol of the father would cause lack of food as the father sold food stamps in exchange for alcohol. Things escalate until the state removes the children permanently from the father. Years passed and the baby of the family unexpectedly dies at the age of thirty-two years. After thirty-eight years abusing alcohol, the father has an out-of-body experience that takes his spirit to the depth of hell to have a firsthand look of what this place of eternal damnation will be like. My prayers to the single parent are that there is hope and help. My help came from coming to believe in a higher power, and that higher power for me was Jesus Christ.

As for the gods, the dragons, the yakshas, the kanda, the asura, the garuda, and the mandara. After the Dragon and Heaven, the most tragic one was Carrolo, because he was Yue Fei's embodiment. Carrolo was a kind of giant bird with all kinds of solemn and precious colors on its wings. Legend has it that Yue Fei was the reincarnation of the Golden Winged Roc, and Jia Luo was the reincarnation of the Golden Winged Roc. When its life ended, the dragons vomited poison and were no longer able to eat. As a result, Garuda flew up and down seven times before finally dying on top of the Vajra Mountain. The complicated plot, ups and downs, locked in a clumsy work, all of this is in the "Heavenly Dragon's Eight Postscript." [Previous Chapter] [Table of Contents] [Next Chapter] Close]

Book Comfort Sequels The Psychology of Movie Sequels from the 80s and 90s

Download or read book Comfort Sequels The Psychology of Movie Sequels from the 80s and 90s written by Emily Marinelli and published by Fayetteville Mafia Press. This book was released on 2024-09-20 with total page 323 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the late eighties and early nineties, while other kids were playing softball, Emily was sporting a Pink Ladies jacket, perfecting Michelle Pfeiffer's “ Cool Rider” choreography from Grease 2, and wearing out the VHS player. Comfort Sequels: The Psychology of Movie Sequels from the &‘ 80s and &‘ 90s tells stories from Emily's life, through the movie sequels of their childhood. When a film touches us, makes us deep-belly laugh, and has that feel-good spirit, we want more of it. We want the continuing story. We want the same story even, just recycled and offered in a slightly new way. What felt so good about the original can come back twofold and be the same, but different. Comfort Sequels examines the psychology behind what makes certain movie sequels memorable, safe, predictable, and comforting. These sequels are more of the universe we love— exploring something new while maintaining that which is familiar. Comfort Sequels is a sneaky memoir, celebrating the campiness and nostalgia that these films evoke. Every chapter is a love letter to a specific movie sequel. As a licensed psychotherapist and psychology professor, Emily interprets characters, story arcs, and major themes in a unique voice from a unique perspective while sharing fun and random behind-the-scenes facts about each film.Featuring interviews with Muppeteer Steve Whitmire (creator of Rizzo the Rat from The Great Muppet Caper), Christine Ebersole (My Girl 2), Stuart Pankin (Mannequin 2: On the Move), Peter Mosen (Ghostbusters II), Christopher McDonald and Leif Green (Grease 2), and the “ Cool Rider” himself, Maxwell Caulfield (Michael, also from Grease 2).Comfort Sequels covers the following twelve comfort sequels; Grease 2, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, My Girl 2, Karate Kid: Part II, The Great Muppet Caper, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze, Ghostbusters II, Batman Returns, Dream a Little Dream 2, Mannequin 2: On the Move, The Neverending Story II: The Next Chapter, and The Evening Star.

Download or read book Children of God written by Revd Dr Edmund Newey and published by Ashgate Publishing, Ltd.. This book was released on 2012-12-28 with total page 371 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Children of God uncovers the significant, but largely unnoticed, place of the child as a prototype of human flourishing in the work of four authors spanning the modern period. Shedding new light on the role of the child figure in modernity, and in theological responses to it, the book makes an important contribution to the disciplines of historical theology, theology and literature and ecumenical theology. Through a careful exploration of the continuities and differences in the work of Thomas Traherne, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Friedrich Schleiermacher and Charles Péguy, it traces the ways in which their distinctive responses to human childhood structured the broader pattern of their theology, showing how they reached beyond the confines of academic theology and exercised a lasting influence on their literary and cultural context.
