An effort was made, without avail, to obtain the names and particulars of the various Railroads in Canada. The next may be attended with better success. An advertising sheet will accompany the succeeding volumes. Cards, Notices, etc, will be inserted on the usual terms. The value of this description of advertis ing is too well understood to need a word of urging. Corrections and additions at an earl y day are solicited, in order that they may be used if a second edition of the present volume should be called for.
