Book THE ULTIMATE INTERPRETATION

Download or read book THE ULTIMATE INTERPRETATION written by XING FOO and published by JINSONG ZHENG. This book was released on with total page 462 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book deciphers the three ultimate questions in human philosophy from a new and simplified perspective. It opens up the underlying logical relationship between life, the universe, and human society. It completely overturns the traditional scientific perception and understanding of happiness. The book redefines the nature of organisms and the essence of life by peeling back the layers of contradictions in the evolution of organisms and the evolution of human civilization. This book proposes the hypothesis of female and male particles, basexon and baseyon, that can reach the upper bound of human imagination to reinterpret the natural significance of several existing scientific cognitions. The analysis of the complexity trap of current scientific cognition is also included. The book proposes two major visions for transforming human society: forgetting about learning and the trust revolution. These visions serve as a guide for the reader's thoughts and actions on how to achieve a true sense of freedom and happiness. The book contains numerous interesting and subversive ideas, which are discussed at length throughout the text. Due to space limitations, only a few examples can be listed here. - Biological nature is a strategic choice for survival, reproduction, security, and connection in terms of energy balance, intake, and lock-in. - Voluntary mutation is a strategy for trial and error and preparation for the next evolutionary leap. - Biological inheritance and passive variation are determined by four stratified genes, which are sequentially influenced by the environment. - The physical form of life is characterized by a boundary that separates the inside from the outside. The crucial phases of the birth of life forms, both biotic and abiotic, involve material combination and aggregation. - The use of language and thinking by humans has advantages during the connections among humans, but it also brings the disadvantage of complexity and reliance on shifting trust mechanisms. - Organisms follow a biological constitution in the pursuit of bioactivity, their origin similar to the law of abiogenesis in the cosmos.

Book Musashi s Book of Five Rings

Download or read book Musashi s Book of Five Rings written by Stephen F. Kaufman and published by Tuttle Publishing. This book was released on 2012-05-15 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This classic interpretation of Miyamoto Musashi's famous Book of Five Rings is intended specifically for the martial artist--as Miyamoto Musashi originally intended. It explains the underlying truths necessary for a full understanding of Musashi's message for warriors. The result is an enthralling book on martial strategy that combines the instincts of the warrior with the philosophies of Zen Buddhism, Shintoism, Confucianism and Taoism. It is a crucial book for every martial artist to read and understand. Like the original, this classic book of strategy is divided into five sections. The Book of Earth lays the groundwork for anyone wishing to understand Musashi's teachings; the Book of Water explains the warrior's approach to strategy; the Book of Fire teaches fundamental fighting techniques based on the Earth and Water principles; the Book of Wind describes differences between Musashi's own martial style and the styles of other fighting schools; while the Book of No-thing describes the "way of nature" as understood through an "unthinking" existing preconception. Famed martial artist and bestselling author Stephen Kaufman has translated this classic without the usual academic or commercial bias, driving straight into the heart of Musashi's martial teachings and interpreting them for his fellow martial artists. The result is an enthralling combination of warrior wisdom and philosophical truths that Musashi offered to other warriors who wished to master the martial way of bushido.

Book Rethinking the Body in South Asian Traditions

Download or read book Rethinking the Body in South Asian Traditions written by Diana Dimitrova and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2020-12-14 with total page 109 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book analyses cultural questions related to representations of the body in South Asian traditions, human perceptions and attitudes toward the body in religious and cultural contexts, as well as the processes of interpreting notions of the body in religious and literary texts. Utilising an interdisciplinary perspective by means of textual study and ideological analysis, anthropological analysis, and phenomenological analysis, the book explores both insider- and outsider perspectives and issues related to the body from the 2nd century CE up to the present-day. Chapters assess various aspects of the body including processes of embodiment and questions of mythologizing the divine body and othering the human body, as revealed in the literatures and cultures of South Asia. The book analyses notions of mythologizing and "othering" of the body as a powerful ideological discourse, which empowers or marginalizes at all levels of the human condition. Offering a deep insight into the study of religion and issues of the body in South Asian literature, religion and culture, this book will be of interest to academics in the fields of South Asian studies, South Asian religions, South Asian literatures, cultural studies, philosophy and comparative literature.

Book On Same Sex Marriage Civil Unions and the Rule of Law

Download or read book On Same Sex Marriage Civil Unions and the Rule of Law written by Mark Strasser and published by Bloomsbury Publishing USA. This book was released on 2002-10-30 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The United States Constitution has already been interpreted to provide a variety of family-related protections which, if applied consistently, also protect same-sex couples and their children. Only by radically reformulating and severely undermining existing protections can courts and commentators justify the claim that the Federal Constitution does not offer a wealth of family protections, including the right to marry a same-sex partner. Discussing the constitutional implications of civil unions with a special focus on how they might be treated in the interstate context, Strasser explains how the courts and commentators have reworked and significantly weakened a variety of constitutional protections in their attempts to establish that same-sex couples are not afforded constitutional protections. He further suggests that the constitutional protections for religion support rather than undermine the constitutional protection of same-sex unions.

Download or read book Judging Statutes written by Robert A. Katzmann and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2014-08-14 with total page 184 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In an ideal world, the laws of Congress--known as federal statutes--would always be clearly worded and easily understood by the judges tasked with interpreting them. But many laws feature ambiguous or even contradictory wording. How, then, should judges divine their meaning? Should they stick only to the text? To what degree, if any, should they consult aids beyond the statutes themselves? Are the purposes of lawmakers in writing law relevant? Some judges, such as Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, believe courts should look to the language of the statute and virtually nothing else. Chief Judge Robert A. Katzmann of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit respectfully disagrees. In Judging Statutes, Katzmann, who is a trained political scientist as well as a judge, argues that our constitutional system charges Congress with enacting laws; therefore, how Congress makes its purposes known through both the laws themselves and reliable accompanying materials should be respected. He looks at how the American government works, including how laws come to be and how various agencies construe legislation. He then explains the judicial process of interpreting and applying these laws through the demonstration of two interpretative approaches, purposivism (focusing on the purpose of a law) and textualism (focusing solely on the text of the written law). Katzmann draws from his experience to show how this process plays out in the real world, and concludes with some suggestions to promote understanding between the courts and Congress. When courts interpret the laws of Congress, they should be mindful of how Congress actually functions, how lawmakers signal the meaning of statutes, and what those legislators expect of courts construing their laws. The legislative record behind a law is in truth part of its foundation, and therefore merits consideration.
