Tommy's big hit, "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire" was so well received it became a Gold record. Their daughter Trudy who published this notes: "What remains so curious to me is that the very same tricks they did on stage, during recordings, and on TV we continue to see every day as we watch talk shops on TV. Taken together, the essays enrich the field of jazz studies by showing how gender dynamics have shaped the production, reception, and criticism of jazz culture.
