The method Of instruction' involved in the Scheme is the indirect method. It introduces the pupil, in a concrete and in tercet ing manner, to the subject matter of morals, by means of fairy tale, myth, fable, allegory, parable, legend, stories of real life, of heroes and heroines, biography, and historical incident. This method was adopted in preference to the more formal direct, and didactic methods, because of an induc tion based on a questionnaire circulated among the teachers of ten cities, nearly ninety-five per cent of Whom favored the indirect method. This induction is supported, also, by investigations re lating to the moral nature in the field Of child psychology, and the psychology of the first years of adolescence. In the composition, selection, and arrangement Of material, attention has been given to the lawsestablished by scientific pedagogy relating to the unfolding Of the fundamental interests Of children. Book The classic collection of Napoleon Hill 6 books Illustrated

Download or read book The classic collection of Napoleon Hill 6 books Illustrated written by Napoleon Hill and published by Strelbytskyy Multimedia Publishing. This book was released on 2023-03-27 with total page 2069 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Oliver Napoleon Hill was an American self-help author. He is best known for his book Think and Grow Rich (1937), which is among the best-selling self-help books of all time. Hill's works insisted that fervid expectations are essential to improving one's life. Most of his books were promoted as expounding principles to achieve "success". Think and Grow Rich is a book released in 1937 and promoted as a personal development and self-improvement book. He claimed to be inspired by a suggestion from business magnate and later-philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. However there is no evidence that the two ever met. The book is considered a classic in the personal development genre and has been widely influential in shaping the way people think about success and wealth. The Law of Success in 16 Lessons is an edited version of Napoleon Hill’s first manuscript, which was reworked under the advisement of several contributors. This version was initially published in 1928 as a multi-volume correspondence course. Later editions consolidated the material into a single hardcover book. Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Golden Rule: Inaugural Lecture Delivered Before the University of Pennsylvania November Eighteenth, 1900 Gratefully appreciating the peculiar honor done me by the Provost and Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania in inviting me to deliver the introductory address in the Lectureship in Christian Ethics, it is appropriate that in this inaugural address I should outline the purpose, the range, and the spirit of the Lectureship, and the qualification for the Lecturer. I. Purpose of the Lectureship. - And, first, the Purpose of the Lectureship. This purpose is not to trace the history of the various ethical theories; this is already admirably done in our own noble University. Nor is it the purpose to teach theology, whether natural, Biblical, or ecclesiastical. But the purpose of this Lectureship is to teach Christian Ethics; that is to say, the practical application of the precepts and behaviour of Jesus Christ to everyday life. And this is the greatest of the sciences. It is a great thing to known astronomy; for it is science of mighty orbs, stupendous distances, majestic adjustments in time and space. It is a great thing to know biology; for it is the science of living organisms - of stating, growth, health, movements, life itself. It is a great thing to know law; for it is the science of legislation, government, equity, civilization. It is a great thing to know philosophy; for it is the science of men and things. This book was released on 2022-12-23 with total page 4735 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The New Thought movement (also Higher Thought) is a spiritual movement that coalesced in the United States in the early 19th century. New Thought was seen by its adherents as succeeding "ancient thought", accumulated wisdom and philosophy from a variety of origins, such as Ancient Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Chinese, Taoist, Vedic, Hindu, and Buddhist cultures and their related belief systems, primarily regarding the interaction between thought, belief, consciousness in the human mind, and the effects of these within and beyond the human mind. Though no direct line of transmission is traceable, many adherents to New Thought in the 19th and 20th centuries claimed to be direct descendants from those systems. Napoleon Hill.
