I have written in a style intended to be accessible and engaging to all Jews-whether familiar or unfamiliar with the subjects considered. In choosing historical, theological, psychological, anthropological, and sociological frames of reference, I have sought to contribute to the understanding of the intersection in Judaism of the metavalue of human dignity and the treatment of converts.
