Download or read book The Zinc Industry Classic Reprint written by Ernest A. Smith and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2017-10-11 with total page 248 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Zinc Industry Although the art of zinc extraction has been practised in this country for more than a century, comparatively little has been written relative to its development since the publication of the classical work of Dr. John Percy, which appeared in 1861. It is probably this absence of a special literature dealing with the position of the zinc industry in recent years that partly accounts for the lack of interest hitherto shown in this branch of British metallurgy. Book Production and Properties of Zinc

Download or read book Production and Properties of Zinc written by Walter Renton Ingalls and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2017-01-18 with total page 334 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Production and Properties of Zinc: A Treatise on the Occurrence and Distribution of Zinc Ore, the Commercial and Technical Conditions Affecting the Production of the Spelter, Its Chemical and Physical Properties and Uses in the Arts This book was undertaken originally as the introductory portion of a treatise on the metallurgy of zinc. Upon the completion of the latter, how ever, it appeared advisable for various reasons to limit it to a consideration of the purely technical questions involved in the extraction of zinc from 'its ores, or rather the concentrated products which are delivered by the miners for smelting. Although a knowledge of the physical and chemical 'iproperties of the metal, the occurrence of its ores, and the conditions which afiect the markets is of importance to the smelter, it is equally of impor tance to the miner and trader. It was thought therefore that a collection of the general commercial and technical data of the metal in a special treatise devoted solely to it would be useful to those who are engaged in the industry in the various ways, and with that in view the present book was prepared upon a considerable enlargement of the original plan. This book was released on 2008-09-04 with total page 700 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "A road map for investing that I have now been following for 57 years." --From the Foreword by Warren E. Buffett First published in 1934, Security Analysis is one of the most influential financial books ever written. Selling more than one million copies through five editions, it has provided generations of investors with the timeless value investing philosophy and techniques of Benjamin Graham and David L. Dodd. As relevant today as when they first appeared nearly 75 years ago, the teachings of Benjamin Graham, “the father of value investing,” have withstood the test of time across a wide diversity of market conditions, countries, and asset classes. This new sixth edition, based on the classic 1940 version, is enhanced with 200 additional pages of commentary from some of today’s leading Wall Street money managers. These masters of value investing explain why the principles and techniques of Graham and Dodd are still highly relevant even in today’s vastly different markets. The contributor list includes: Seth A. Klarman, president of The Baupost Group, L.L.C. and author of Margin of Safety James Grant, founder of Grant's Interest Rate Observer, general partner of Nippon Partners Jeffrey M.
