Book Changes in Inventories in the National Accounts

Download or read book Changes in Inventories in the National Accounts written by Mr.Segismundo Fassler and published by International Monetary Fund. This book was released on 2003-06-01 with total page 47 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The principles underlying the recording of changes in inventories are explained in the System of National Accounts, 1993 (1993 SNA), but operational guidelines on their measurement are lacking. This paper elaborates specific statistical techniques and their underlying assumptions for calculating changes in inventories and holding gains when only data on stocks of inventories are available. Several data situations are considered. The authors propose methods for measuring changes in inventories that meet the 1993 SNA principles. The paper also explores possibilities for implementing the proposed improvements and explains the interpretation of data on changes in inventories.

This book was released on 2013 with total page 69 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "TRB's Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) Report 84: Guidebook for Preparing Airport Emissions Inventories for State Implementation Plans is designed to assist in the preparation of airport emissions inventory component of a State Implementation Plan. The Guidebook offers a basic, intermediate, and advanced approach for preparation of an airport emissions inventory. Each approach is progressively more complex, requiring increasingly detailed input data that generates greater airport specificity and accuracy. The choice of a particular approach is up to the user as a function of the level of response appropriate to a specific airport, the demands of the facility and the surrounding community, and data availability. A CD-ROM, which is included with the print version of the report, contains an Airport Emissions Estimator Tool that applies to the basic approach. In addition, the CD-ROM includes the appendixes that accompany ACRP Report 84 as well as other project-specific material."--Publisher's description.

Book National Forest Inventories

Download or read book National Forest Inventories written by Erkki Tomppo and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2009-12-02 with total page 614 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Forest inventories throughout the world have evolved gradually over time. The content as well as the concepts and de?nitions employed are constantly adapted to the users’ needs. Advanced inventory systems have been established in many countries within Europe, as well as outside Europe, as a result of development work spanning several decades, in some cases more than 100 years. With continuously increasing international agreements and commitments, the need for information has also grown drastically, and reporting requests have become more frequent and the content of the reports wider. Some of the agreements made at the international level have direct impacts on national economies and international decisions, e. g. , the Kyoto Protocol. Thus it is of utmost importance that the forest information supplied is collected and analysed using sound scienti?c principles and that the information from different countries is comparable. European National Forest Inventory (NFI) teams gathered in Vienna in 2003 to discuss the new challenges and the measures needed to get data users to take full advantage of existing NFIs. As a result, the European National Forest Inventory Network (ENFIN), a network of NFIs, was established. The ENFIN members decided to apply for funding for meetings and collaborative activities. COST– European Cooperation in Science and Technology - provided the necessary ?n- cial means for the realization of the program.
