Download or read book The Paranormal Investigations of Mister Balls written by Richard Denham and published by BLKDOG Publishing. This book was released on with total page 140 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When you fear the unknown, when the shadow descends, when the darkness envelops you - think of Balls The book they tried to stop, mainly for the reason that they thought it was too much for the great public to handle, and an absolute load of rubbish. I am Harry Balls, renowned paranormal investigator with a difference. I investigate those cases too complex or too vague (mainly the latter) that other paranormal investigators simply won't touch with a barge pole. Join me and my Office of Paranormal Studies licensed team on an epic [citation needed] adventure as we travel the country uncovering the mysteries you've definitely never heard about before. Together we will lift the lid on the supernatural, and then quickly close the lid again before weird things start coming out. These mysteries range from mysterious home-helps to dubious ball pits, farting dogs, parish council conspiracies and even evil bingo dabbers. Live and breathe my journey with me as I explore these dark forces in the ‘Tales of the Unattested’ (hence the name of the book). One thing is for certain, you'll never think about the paranormal and supernatural in the same way again.

Download or read book Ball Lightning written by Mark Stenhoff and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2005-12-16 with total page 356 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Down comes a deluge of sonorous hail, Or prone-descending rain. Wide-rent, the clouds Pour a whole flood, and yet, its flame unquenched, Th’unconquerable lightning struggles through. Ragged and fierce, or in red whirling balls, And fires the mountains with redoubled rage. Black from the stroke, above, the smould’ring pine Stands a sad shattered trunk; and, stretched below, A lifeless group the blasted cattle lie. James Thompson, “The Seasons” (1727) have been investigating ball lightning for more than two decades. I published a ball lightning report in Nature in 1976 that received worldwide publicity and I consequently many people wrote to me with accounts of their own experiences. Within a very short time, I had accumulated about 200 firsthand accounts, and the file has continued to grow steadily since then. Several things impressed me. Few of those who wrote to me had any detailed foreknowledge of ball lightning at the time of their observation. Nonetheless, once reports of other phenomena such as St. Elmo’s fire had been eliminated, the remaining descriptions were remarkably consistent. Furthermore, nearly all who contacted me were keen to have an explanation of what they had seen and seemed entirely sincere.

Book Ghost Hunter

Download or read book Ghost Hunter written by Hans Holzer and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2014-08-28 with total page 165 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fifty years before The Conjuring, Paranormal State, Ghost Hunters, Insidious and Most Haunted, there was Hans Holzer—a man known as the “Father of the Paranormal.” Holzer pioneered ghost-hunting methods still used today, and brought ghosts and ghost hunting into popular culture in the second half of the twentieth century. Ghost Hunter presented some of the first-ever case studies of haunting investigations, taken from Holzer’s own practice in the New York City area—ranging from Civil War-era spirits to the tormented ghosts of murder victims. For devoted ghost-hunting aficionados curious about the practice’s history, there is no better place to start than the first book Hans Holzer wrote, Ghost Hunter. This is the classic 1963 book that launched his publishing career and gained him international fame. The prestige edition of the classic, trail-blazing work on ghost hunting will intrigue new fans and longtime devotees alike—part of the new Tarcher Supernatural Library. The first three titles released in Tarcher's Supernatural Library are Ghost Hunter (by Hans Holzer), Romance of Sorcery (by Sax Rohmer) and Isis in America (by Henry Steel Olcott).
