Pendleton while for two years and a half he was assistant to Dr. Lyman, Superintend ent of Gaylord Farm Sanatorium. For nearly four months Dr Lyman was incapacitated, being in Charlottesville, Va., recovering from a very severe op eration which all but cost him his life. During this time, Dr. Pendleton was in full charge and the credit of carry ing on the work of the Sanatorium is in largest part his.
