Nothing proves a priori that the product found in the blood issuing from a gland issues into the general circulation; in fact, it might decompose or be rapidly destroyed in the mass of blood or else it might be diluted to a point where it would no longer have any effect It is, therefore, highly necessary that it should be found in the arterial blood if we are to affirm its hormonic hormozonic.
