Peter "Boy" Jenkins has a very bad temper. It does not take much to get him into a raging bad mood, so when his girlfriend Mary Beth dies after he slaps her, he's sure he is responsible for her death. "Boy" is obviously not as tough as his reputation and he doesn't think he'll survive life behind bars. With his best friend and only supporter Curtis Cash at his side, the pair of misfits go on the run to Mexico, but they encounter much more than an escape route. The two men totally expected to come across beautiful señoritas and strong margaritas along the way, but instead they are met with illegal immigration camps, suspicious state troopers, ruthless drug cartels, witch doctors, and even valuable treasures. But was all of this worth it? The ironic ending just may leave readers wonder if it truly was.

This collection of essays and anecdotes explores Doug's journey to recover from his injuries and embrace his new life as a paraplegic. Since that accident changed Doug's life, he doesn't dwell on the unanswerable question of, "Why do bad things happen to good people?" In an attention-getting style, he presents the possibilities of the future by asking, "Now that this has happened, what shall I do about it?" His no-nonsense story makes a powerful impact, helping people meet the challenge of adversity through his formula for success: faith + attitude + action + accountability = success and excellence. His compelling adventure reveals how he has turned a combination of liability and disability into an asset and personal strength. If you are willing, he is able to help anyone become their best.

Wesley Reed-a jokester and expert Sam-handler-proposes an epic road trip to a wedding across the country. They're both between jobs and boyfriends. Why not hit the open road and make some memories? Chemistry this smoldering is hard to ignore, but there are road blocks to their romance. Wesley's keeping a secret, and Sam can't rely on Wesley to drag him out of his comfort zone forever. If they're not careful, their relationship may take the ultimate wrong turn.
