Sometimes it was maddening, sometimes it was just sad, sometimes it was happy and most of the time unbelievable. I have been accused of being a vicious liar by my Mother. She is even threatening to sue me for lying if I publish this book. She was, is, and I see no chance of her changing in the future, a mean evil wicked woman. I would not wish her on my worst enemy, in fact, she is my worst enemy. She thinks that I live in a fantasy world and live from lie to lie. God and I know the truth, he has been with me all the way and he knows the truth. He also knows who lies and doesn’t own up to their own actions. One out of every 5 girls are sexually abused every hour. I am the one out of my five girls. Where are you in your five? It is my desire to tell all of you ones that there is help and to seek it out. Don’t be ashamed like I was. I want to help you. I wish that all of you twos, threes, fours and fives to get active. You just might have a sister, little child, aunt, friend, coworker who is a one and may need your help. There is much more to my story. I am now over 60 years old and still struggling. I am writing another book to cover my adult years. You will need another box of kleenix and a new bag of chocolate, so be prepared.

Book excerpt: Going Down the Road By: Jim Armstrong Jim Armstrong started out following a similar path many others have walked, owning almost nothing and having expectations that matched. However his life took a different turn – different enough that he felt compelled to tell his story of challenges leading to success. Wanting our children, grandchildren and future generations to understand the circumstances that impacted their lives, Armstrong offers up his story so that they and others can learn from his experiences. In addition to being his personal memoirs, Going Down the Road outlines the beginnings and the history of JDA Software, which grew from a one man firm to a major firm to a major international technology company. It documents my transition from an unskilled laborer in the Canadian mining town of Elliot Lakes to CEO of a publicly held company in the United States. Pages within describe some of the interesting characters encountered along the journey, as well challenges and the resolution to those challenges. This includes tales of crazy dot.com bubble of the 1990’s and vibrant recollections of travels and involvement with noteworthy charitable endeavors. “I have always felt a responsibility to tell my tale. This is it” -Jim Armstrong

Book The Prayers of an Intercessor

Download or read book The Prayers of an Intercessor written by ,DMW and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2021-06-23 with total page 153 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There are so many wonderful books written on prayer that when the Lord told me I was to write this book, I questioned Him. I wondered what I would have to say that hasn't been said already. However, as I began to write, I found out I had a lot to say. You see, The Prayers of an Intercessor is a book based on my experiences through prayer over years. So many times people find prayer to be a difficult thing. Many may think you have to pray some big, flamboyant prayer to be heard by God. However, you will find out by reading this book that we can all pray. In fact, we all need to pray. Prayer is not about fancy words. Prayer is simply talking to the Lord. God is the reader of the heart; He cares more that our prayers be heartfelt. It was some of the simplest prayers I prayed that I saw the greatest answers come about. I have had the honor of seeing many prayers answered over the years, and God is still answering my prayers today.

Book True Tales Trilogy Nightmarish Accounts of Paranormal Activity

Download or read book True Tales Trilogy Nightmarish Accounts of Paranormal Activity written by John Harker and published by Shadow Hills Publishing. This book was released on with total page 344 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Astonishing true stories of paranormal nightmares! From devilish dolls and haunted Ouija boards to witchcraft disasters and doomed demonic deals, True Tales Trilogy covers a wide spectrum of occult encounters that end in horror, hardship, and tragedy. If there’s one theme that runs throughout this compendium, it’s this: If you play with fire, you’re going to get burned. In this one convenient volume you get the full editions of the following books: Ouija Board Nightmares: Terrifying True Tales Demonic Dolls: True Tales of Terrible Toys Evil Unleashed: True Tales of Spells Gone to Hell and Other Occult Disasters In the tradition of paranormal experts and authors Gabriele Amorth, Ed and Lorraine Warren, and Zak Bagans, True Tales Trilogy author John Harker engages the reader with thrilling accounts of demonic and ghostly activity while at the same time offering warnings and advice to those thinking about dabbling in, or already ensnared by, the occult. Ouija Board Nightmares: For more than a century, the Ouija board has attracted the attention of a wide variety of people: paranormal thrill-seekers, adventurous adolescents, temperamental teens, tipsy party guests, and even curious skeptics. Most of the time, those who dabble with the Ouija or other spirit boards experience nothing out of the ordinary. But many times that's not the case. And many times that extraordinary experience isn't just strange, but downright terrifying. Ouija Board Nightmares takes a look at some of those terrifying experiences, which range from nightmarish manifestations to actual physical assaults. The author’s intention is to inform and engage, but primarily to warn. While the Ouija board may be marketed as a harmless game, it is indeed neither. If the accounts in this book don't convince you of that, then nothing will. Demonic Dolls: Can dolls really become haunted? Can demons take possession of people’s playthings? According to a large number of paranormal investigators, exorcists, and demonologists, the answer is a resounding yes. Not only are such phenomena possible, they happen fairly often, with dolls being one of the most frequent targets of spirit attachment. Sometimes those spirits are benign, or at the most mischievous. But many are outright evil and dangerous. This book examines some of the world’s most famous haunted dolls. Some you may have heard about. Others will be new. All will make you reconsider the world you thought you knew. Evil Unleashed: The occult is many things to many people. For some, it is a path to enlightenment. Others find it a source of personal transformation. And still others consider it a doorway to the devil. While distinctions can be drawn and argued all day, what can't be argued is this: the occult is dangerous. It opens channels that are best left closed. It attracts entities that don't play by the rules. And it demands more—always more—than what was bargained for. These true-life accounts reveal the heartache and horror that can occur when people participate in the occult and, knowingly or not, release dark spirits into the human realm. Dabbler or devotee—it doesn't matter how deeply one is committed or involved. Once evil is unleashed, it treats everyone the same: hellishly.

Book The Complex Life of a Woman Doctor

The era she has lived through has been incredibly eventful: she relates how the Great Depression, World War II, the McCarthy Unamerican Activities Committee, the overt bias and harassment that women in the professions had to face, all impacted on her life. But the memoir has a lighter side, recounting some of the adventures and mishaps of medical school, internship, maintaining a successful marriage and raising a family while engaged in the full-time practice of medicine. Both of her sons as well as a niece and grandniece have become physicians, and the book describes some the differences, both good and bad, between the practice of medicine today and how it was practiced over fifty years ago.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A world-renowned biblical archaeology scholar, Hershel Shanks is the Founder and Editor of the Biblical Archaeology Review. Once a successful Washington Attorney, Shanks changed careers after a trip to the Holy Land and devoted himself to the study of biblical archaeology. When the Dead Sea Scrolls (1947-1956) were discovered, a complex tale of theft and conspiracy began in the world of biblical archaeology. Hershel Shanks, a chief protagonist in the story, spearheaded a campaign to release the scrolls to the wider scholarly community throughout the 1980s, using the Biblical Archaeology Review as a mouthpiece for the cause. Later Shanks' involvement greatly increased when he published reconstructed fascicles of the secret scrolls amidst much controversy. Shanks must be seen as one of the crucial factors that finally brought these vital tools of academic study, these Dead Sea Scrolls, to the wider world. Elsewhere Shanks' vigorous defense of the authenticity of the Ossuary - which is said to have contained the bones of The Brother of Jesus - is explored in one of the book's liveliest chapters.
