Book The Life of a Brand New Christian

Download or read book The Life of a Brand New Christian written by Darrick Palacio and published by Christian Faith Publishing. This book was released on 2024-04-24 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The life of a brand-new Christian was inspired by the life and work of Jesus Christ. It compels us to look unto Christ for an inward working. It is intended to bring us back to the reality of Christ's work and helps draw us back to Him. It reminds us about the finished work that we may receive it by faith. The life of a brand-new Christian is to encourage and strengthen the inner man of the believer. God's redemptive work is complete, and the life of a brand-new Christian helps us see it all in God's light. It encourages us to stop looking at ourselves and keep our eyes on the prize. It is a much-needed book for the church body and unbelievers. It helps us to see the need for the cornerstone and why the foundation was laid with it in mind. It also challenges us to examine our own hearts and see that Jesus Christ is the only one capable who can come to our need. I encourage the reader, when something speaks directly to them, to stop and pray then to continue reading. A house is as strong as the foundation, and the life of a brand-new Christian brings it all back into perspective. Jesus Christ is the sum of all God's work, and the life of a brand-new Christian helps us understand that the old life in Adam is gone, and the new life in Christ is now in operation. The more we see that Jesus Christ did away with the old man, the more we will experience the life of a brand-new Christian.

Book The New Believer s Guide to the Christian Life

Download or read book The New Believer s Guide to the Christian Life written by Alex Early and published by Bethany House Publishers. This book was released on 2016-10-18 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What Life as a Christian Really Looks Like New believers need to know what to expect. While many books cover the nuts and bolts of new faith--how to read the Bible, how to pray, how to find a church--in this book, Alex Early focuses on issues of the heart. What are Christians supposed to feel? What happens when they sin? What does God want from them? Designed to challenge and reassure, this book gives a realistic depiction of the Christian life, and includes such topics as how to rest in God's love, what forgiveness looks like when you blow it, what it means to find your identity in Christ, and how to pray with honesty and transparency. God isn't surprised when we struggle, and although being in a relationship with God is amazing, he never promised that this life would be easy. He can handle "real" people, and he pours out his reckless love regardless of what we do or think on any given day. We all need to be reminded of this, but especially those new to the faith. This book is ideal for new believers, but seasoned Christians should also have copies on hand to give away. Includes end-of-chapter questions and a "Christianese to English" glossary.
