Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Author Dennis Mitchamson was born May 26 1949 in London. At the age of 22 he left England and travelled to Madrid where he studied Spanish. On discovering that he had a love for languages, he continued studying them in France, Germany and eventually Italy while working as an English teacher. After taking up residence in Rome, his restlessness led him to leave for Tokyo with the aim of studying Japanese. On occasion of his second one year stay in Japan in 1984, he unexpectedly became involved with a spiritual practice that changed his life. The countless amazing experiences that he had raising his hand and giving "Divine Light" which he describes in his autobiography "Discovering the meaning of life through Divine Light" fully confirmed the teachings that he received and encouraged him into carrying out research into holy scriptures and all sorts of historical documentation and. This was made easier for him by people thrusting books into his hands or asking him to translate them each time he broached a certain subject! His autobiography was in fact preceded by translations of many still unpublished books from Japanese into English and Italian. In 2017 he obtained permission to translate Kosaka Wado's books entitled "The Takeuchi Documents" (Takeuchi Bunsho) which unravel mysteries that go back to the origin of life on Earth. One of the author's s experiences involved an unplanned encounter with a psychic who, without knowing that he had two books on the Essenes at home, surprised him by saying that he himself had been an Essene in a previous life. This may be one of the reasons for his publishing this book about Jesus and his role in the Divine Plan.

Book excerpt: Why write this book which, although based to some extent on material that comes from texts that also include the Bible, differs greatly in its conclusions about the birth, life and death of a Heavenly Messenger? The answer is simple. I consider that at a time when the world is finding itself more and more in a state of deadlock despite all the material progress made, there needs to be an urgent review of what has been taught on all levels not only economically and scientifically but also religiously and historically, especially with regard to ancient history. The answer is simple. I consider that at a time when the world is finding itself more and more in a state of deadlock despite all the material progress made, there needs to be an urgent review of what has been taught on all levels not only economically and scientifically but also religiously and historically, especially with regard to ancient history. Though amply documented, apart from a vague reference to Egypt, the journeys made by Jesus in other lands between the age of twelve and thirty when he completely 'disappears' from the Bible and the time following his 'resurrection' are with a few exceptions not acknowledged by official sources that, supported by the apathy of the general public, maintain a control of television channels and the radio. My references to the life of Jesus and his role in the Divine Plan include texts written by people such as Fida M. Hassnain, the French couple Daniel Meurois and Anne Givaudan, ancient documentation that Kosaka Wado had access to and partially published in his books entitled 'The Takeuchi Documents', personal “intuitions” and the constant experiences that I have been allowed to have ever since becoming a Light Giver and which I describe in my autobiography “Discovering the meaning of life through Divine Light” (amazon.com). My only desire which I hope will be shared by the readers of this book is to shed light on what really occurred two thousand years ago when a Divine messenger appeared on Earth with a mission to aid humanity and how such a mission was incorporated in the Divine Plan.

Book Jesus Death in New Testament Thought Volume 2 Texts

Download or read book Jesus Death in New Testament Thought Volume 2 Texts written by David A. Brondos and published by David A. Brondos. This book was released on 2018-04-25 with total page 722 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jesus’ Death in New Testament Thought is unlike anything written on the subject to date. It represents a radical break with the traditional models or “theories” of atonement based on ideas such as penal substitution, participation in Christ, and the Christus Victor motif, claiming that all of these ideas as commonly understood are foreign to New Testament thought. On the basis of his analysis of second-temple Jewish thought, Brondos demonstrates that, for Jews in antiquity, what atoned for sins and led people to be declared righteous in God’s sight was not sacrifice, suffering, or death in themselves, but the renewed commitment to living in accordance with God’s will which they manifested by means of their sacrificial offerings and at times their willingness to endure suffering and death out of faithfulness to that will. According to the thought of Jesus’ first followers, in accordance with a divine plan conceived of before the ages, in Jesus God had sent his Son in order to establish around him a community of people fully committed to practicing the love, justice, solidarity, and righteousness associated with God’s will for all. Jesus’ dedication to this task led to confrontation and conflict with the powers and authorities of his day, who sought to silence him by having him put to death. Because he stood firm and remained faithful to that task rather than backing down from it, he was crucified on a Roman cross. Paradoxically, however, in this way he laid the basis for the existence of the community God had desired from the start, stamping it forever as one to which no one could truly belong without assuming the same firm commitment to Jesus and everything for which he had lived and died. Those who form part of this community, living out of faith under Jesus as their risen Lord, come to practice God’s will as redefined through Jesus and on that basis are forgiven and accepted as righteous by God. Thus, by giving up his life out of love for others in faithfulness to the task his Father had given him, Jesus has attained the redemption, reconciliation, cleansing, and justification of those who now live under his lordship as members of the worldwide community of believers from all nations that God has established through him and his death, in fulfillment of the promises that God had made of old to his people Israel. In Volume 1, Brondos looks to the relevant texts from antiquity to trace the background and development of these ideas. His argument will leave the reader with no doubt that Jesus’ first followers understood the salvific significance of his death or blood in the manner just outlined, and therefore that the traditional interpretations of his death that have prevailed from patristic times to the present do not reflect faithfully their thought as we find it in the New Testament. In Volume 2, Brondos examines the formulaic allusions to Jesus’ death that we find scattered throughout the New Testament and other early Christian writings so as to demonstrate that these are precisely the ideas that lie behind those allusions. At the same time, through his analysis of the writings of Melito of Sardis and Irenaeus of Lyons, he provides clear evidence that, by the late second century, ideas that are foreign to those texts began to be read back into them, with the result that the original understandings of Jesus’ death that had developed among his first followers came to be replaced by other understandings that run contrary to their thought. In his Conclusion, Brondos argues that only by rejecting the traditional models of atonement and returning to the New Testament teaching on this central doctrine can the Christian church respond effectively to the crisis it faces today and bring about the restoration of the type of communities envisioned by Jesus and his first followers.

Arnold, Edited by Ms. Aurora Payad-Arnold God’s Grand Design is to restore mankind to its original state of sacred perfection after Adam and Eve fell and created the original sin of disobedience, hiding, and lying to the Lord. When God cursed the serpent for tempting Adam and Eve to be like God, he promised to send his only begotten Son to save humanity. He did via the incarnate word in the womb of the immaculately conceived Virgin Mary. God wants to be man and receive a new body to defeat death through Jesus Christ. Man wants to become God to receive eternal life. Man’s journey to become God starts from being an ignorant baby gaining knowledge, to a cowardly teenager obtaining courage, to an adult converting greed to generosity, to a wise man changing selfishness to unselfishness, and at last, to a free man able to think for himself in eternal service to God in his kingdom. The journey requires him to know right from wrong, good from evil, and God’s will from man’s will and thus defeat evil, worldly temptations, and demonic possession. Through Christ, God and man are destined to become one through three advents, making the God/Man Christ into the new human spirit (blessings). Then, the Man/God Jesus becomes the new human flesh to make all things perfect in the sight of God. Jesus Christ came as a priest on a donkey to decode the Torah, bring knowledge, and remove blindness to defeat sin. By his death and resurrection, he granted free redemption to man’s flesh to give him a new body. The second coming of Jesus Christ as thief in the night will bring awakening to remove deafness by teaching God’s truths to defeat evil. As a just judge on a cloud on his third advent, the Lord will remove mankind’s dumbness to defeat death. And then man can become worthy of receiving God’s rewards of paradise in heaven or heaven on earth.

Book excerpt: Jesus' Death in New Testament Thought is unlike anything written on the subject to date. It represents a radical break with the traditional models or "theories" of atonement based on ideas such as penal substitution, participation in Christ, and the Christus Victor motif, claiming that all of these ideas as commonly understood are foreign to New Testament thought. In particular, on the basis of his analysis of second-temple Jewish literature and its use of the Hebrew Scriptures, Brondo demonstrates that, in themselves, sacrifice, suffering, and death were not thought to make atonement for human sins. Instead, for Jews in antiquity, what atoned for sins and led people to be declared righteous in God's sight was their renewed commitment to living in accordance with God's will, a commitment that they expressed by means of their sacrificial offerings and their willingness to endure suffering and death out of faithfulness to that will. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In A Mirror is a thought-provoking introduction to God's salvation, reflecting on the the epic story that has evoked many mythologies about good and evil portrayed in the story of Adam and Eve, and ending with the redemption and resurrection of Jesus Christ. By a more concise account to the principles of salvation, the book lays the foundation to the elements of destiny, desire, knowledge, shame, sin, the cross, death, power, prayer, praise, justice, truth, faith, joy, righteousness, and the Holy Spirit, on which a life in Jesus Christ is attained. Drawing parallels from Jesus Christ's life, the book argues the distinctive Godly signatures that have outlaid His divine plan, paramount in His powerful ministry on earth, which continued with Christ's crucifixion to save those whom He loves, rectifying the sin that began with Adam and Eve. In A Mirror is an invitation to reconsider a relationship with God based on the unshakable truth of Jesus Christ, and not on any other fleeting images.

Book A Closer Look at Life and Death

Download or read book A Closer Look at Life and Death written by Tracy Jones and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2022-11-20 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God, who is an Eternal Spirit, created our universal presence, in Heaven, as Eternal Spirit Life Energy, in His likeness. Our same Spirit, which now resides within our body, is the only thing that is eternal, everything else perishes...the body, material things and the spheres. Therefore, if we were living an infinite Life in Heaven with the Lord, how did we transition to living a finite Life, on Earth, captive to certain death? We desire our lives to last forever! Truth is: We each, individually, betrayed God (sinned), rebelled, and therefore, you and I were cast out of Heaven along with Lucifer; whereby, the Force of Gravity holds us away from God's Holy Presence. We now live in the darkness of the abyss and this darkness is real, close your eyes, what do you see? The darkness that we still are! The evidence of your betrayal and rebellious behavior is your undeniable Natural Death which is to come: "For the wages of sin is death" (Rom 6:23), in Heaven, and on Earth. As a result, you see death happening all around you, and you know that, in the back of your mind, you could be next. Therefore, we were sinners long before Adam and Eve were created, hence the reason that we are born sinners. And the reason for planting the two trees in the Garden of Eden, as well as the writing of the names of the redeemed in the Book of Life. Follow this chronological journey through our Eternal History as we examine how death fits into the mystery of our eternal life. Discover the cause, intent, and consequences of the only two death sentences and penalties that God has ever issued to His Creation. We will evaluate Science (Man-Made Theories) and Technology, alongside Creation which reveals God's Divine Redemption Plan to save us from a Second Death (Rev 20:14), with Heaven, Hell, Earth, Satan, Jesus, all of us...the Angels, Death and Time, each having a role to play. "Time" was designed to take us from the beginning of God's redemption plan to the end, yet "Time" is personal because upon your demise, it is said that your time is up, and you are buried, but "Time" marches on according to God's purpose alone. You will come to realize that God is NOT to blame for all the "ills" in the world; for His objective is to redeem us through Jesus Christ so that we will avoid The Second Death based on freedom of CHOICE between...eternal life and eternal death which is before us, daily: "I have set before you life and death...choose life" (Deut 30:19). God's plan allows for the summation of our life's choices and decisions to make our eternal choice for us. This is why death is designed as a surprise element and not a planned event, you cannot plan your choice, you must live your choice! This book series will explore how God repurposed the Earth for our redemption...the design details, End Time Prophecy, DNA Manipulation, and the current biomedically engineered plagues (Coronavirus, etc.) or Death Tests that are before us. And will reveal the elite's purpose for UFOs and Computer Technology that allows them to communicate and receive knowledge from the darkness of the unseen realm, or as they call them...Aliens; as a result of the "Tree" selection in the Garden...And to our surprise, we do "certainly die" (Gen 2:17 NIV). We are living near the close of God's redemption plan...The End Times, therefore, the diagram: War In Heaven/You! Expelled from Heaven* AND the Exercises at the end of each book are designed to help you gain more understanding and to aid you in determining if what you believe is fact or fiction before your certain date with death. You are awaiting your turn to die, like me...right? The goal is to enable you to make an informed decision about your life, death and eternal future!

Book excerpt: For most Christian believers, what is truly remarkable and important about Jesus is not his life, but his resurrection from the dead. They may believe that Jesus' death is significant not as the end of Jesus' life, but as the first half of the saving event that comprises the Christian gospel: the death and resurrection of Jesus. For Christians, this great divine cosmic event, around which all of human history pivots, is what saves us from our sins. Apart from this, the death of Jesus would simply be the meaningless end to an interesting but insignificant life. In this lively and provocative work, Patterson reconstructs early Christian assessments of Jesus' significance and also questions basic assumptions about modern interpretations of Jesus' death. He emphasizes the importance of Jesus' life in relation to his death and resurrection. And he challenges individualistic notions of how Jesus' death relates to Christian ethics.

Book The Resurrection Of Christ

Download or read book The Resurrection Of Christ written by Gerd Ludemann and published by Prometheus Books. This book was released on 2010-06-28 with total page 248 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Although the resurrection is the keystone dogma of Christian belief, and Sunday churchgoers rarely if ever think to question it, scholarly research shows with the utmost clarity that from a historical standpoint Jesus was not raised from the dead. In fact, it is almost universally recognized among scholars of New Testament textual criticism that the gospel narratives describing the resurrection appearances are not reliable eyewitness accounts, but expressions of faith written by the first Christian believers long after the death of Jesus. In this thorough exegesis of the primary texts dealing with the resurrection of Jesus, New Testament expert Gerd Lüdemann (University of Göttingen) presents compelling evidence that shows the resurrection was not a historical event and further argues that this development leaves little, if any, basis for Christian faith as presently defined.Beginning with Paul's testimony in 1 Cor. 15: 3-8, in which the apostle declares that Jesus has been raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures, Lüdemann systematically evaluates every reference to Jesus' resurrection in the New Testament, as well as apocryphal literature. He examines the purpose of the text writers, the ways in which they reworked tradition, and the historical value of each account. Through this approach, he offers a reconstruction of the probable course of events as well as the circumstances surrounding Jesus' death on the cross, the burial of his body, his reported resurrection on the third day, and subsequent appearances to various disciples.Since the historical evidence leads to the firm conclusion that Jesus' body was not raised from the dead, Lüdemann argues that the origin of the Easter faith must be sought in the visionary experiences of Christianity's two leading apostles. From a modern perspective this leads to the inescapable conclusion that both primary witnesses to Jesus' resurrection, Peter and Paul, were victims of self-deception.In conclusion, he asks whether in light of the nonhistoricity of Jesus' resurrection, thinking people today can legitimately and in good conscience still call themselves Christians.Gerd Lüdemann is a professor of the history and literature of early Christianity at the University of Göttingen, Germany. Professor Lüdemann's published conclusions about Christianity aroused great controversy in his native Germany, where the Confederation of Protestant Churches in Lower Saxony demanded his immediate dismissal from the theological faculty of his university. Despite this threat to his academic freedom, he has retained his post at the university, although the chair he holds was renamed to disassociate him from the training program of German pastors. Lüdemann is also the author of Jesus After 2000 Years, Paul: The Founder of Christianity, and The Resurrection of Christ: A Historical Inquiry.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a daily devotional of the prophecies from the Old Testament fulfilled throughout history. The foretelling from these prophets is historically accurate. Most are fulfilled by Jesus Christ alone. Jesus talks about fulfilling the Law and the prophets. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said that He had not come to abolish the Law or the prophets but to fulfill them (Matthew 5:17). Scripture tells of prophets, their warnings, and their prophecies. Some spoke of good things to come, while others described desperate times. The fact that Jesus fulfilled the Law, the Prophets, and the Writings reminds us that the Word of God is true, steadfast, and eternal. God is active in every moment. Prophets foretold the birth of Jesus and how He would face trials, disappointment, the unbelief of the people, torture, and death on the cross. Scripture tells how Jesus would rise on the third day and ascend into Heaven to sit at the right hand of His Father. Through each word spoken and each action, Jesus showed what would happen. Jesus knew that the plan of His Father was the best. By reading and studying the Word of God, we learn that everything Jesus said would happen is true. Although not all prophecies have been fulfilled yet, Christians know that the day is coming when Jesus will return.
