Book Natural Laws of the Universe

Download or read book Natural Laws of the Universe written by Valentin Matcas and published by Valentin Leonard Matcas. This book was released on 2016-04-20 with total page 87 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There are laws, rules, and facts so potent in this world, that they are capable to define and decide everything everywhere. These are the natural laws of this world, the spiritual laws of the universe, the supreme laws of the universe, and the higher laws. Along with the consensual laws and consensual orders of the lower worlds if you are there. The natural and spiritual laws of the universe are relatively easy to find and understand, since they are taught by most spiritual schools of thought, but will we also be able to find the supreme laws of the universe? Because since these are the highest, main, first laws ever, they should remain at the top of every law and knowledge in this world, and therefore they should remain capable to define and express everything in this world, including your unanswered questions about yourself, life, this world, and about your meaning and place in life and in this world. You must be familiar with the laws of the universe presented throughout schools of thought and used in famous documentaries as “The Secret,” building on the famous law of attraction. There are seven laws of the universe, while all successful people consider them methodically, since these help them succeed in life. If you understand these natural, spiritual, and supreme laws of the universe, they help you develop, while remaining meaningful, fulfilling, and harmonious in life and in this world. There are seven laws of the universe, or twelve, or fourteen, depending on your school of thought, yet they include the same higher knowledge, as in the law of mentalism, the law of correspondence, the law of gender, the law of polarity, and the law of vibration. These laws are over five thousand years old, and this is the case only because the age of all written records stops at this specific time, for various reasons. Because if our records went further back in time, we found these laws of the universe mentioned everywhere. You may find the laws of the universe stated throughout old Egyptian, old Greek, and old Indian records. This book finds and explains the natural, spiritual, and supreme laws of the universe, helping you understand them, and through them, helping you understand everything in life and in this world. Since these laws help you differentiate between valid facts and misleading beliefs, when you match your lines of reasoning with the lines of causality determined by them.

Book Hobbes and the Law of Nature

Download or read book Hobbes and the Law of Nature written by Perez Zagorin and published by Princeton University Press. This book was released on 2009-11-16 with total page 191 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the first major work in English to explore at length the meaning, context, aims, and vital importance of Thomas Hobbes's concepts of the law of nature and the right of nature. Hobbes remains one of the most challenging and controversial of early modern philosophers, and debates persist about the interpretation of many of his ideas, particularly his views about natural law and natural right. In this book, Perez Zagorin argues that these two concepts are the twin foundations of the entire structure of Hobbes's moral and political thought. Zagorin clears up numerous misconceptions about Hobbes and his relation to earlier natural law thinkers, in particular Hugo Grotius, and he reasserts the often overlooked role of the Hobbesian law of nature as a moral standard from which even sovereign power is not immune. Because Hobbes is commonly thought to be primarily a theorist of sovereignty, political absolutism, and unitary state power, the significance of his moral philosophy is often underestimated and widely assumed to depend entirely on individual self-interest. Zagorin reveals Hobbes's originality as a moral philosopher and his importance as a thinker who subverted and transformed the idea of natural law. Hobbes and the Law of Nature is a major contribution to our understanding of Hobbes's moral, legal, and political philosophy, and a book rich in interpretive and critical insights into Hobbes's writing and thought.

Book excerpt: This is the first book-length treatment of the metaphysical foundations of ecological ethics. The author seeks to provide a metaphysical illumination of the fundamental ecological intuitions that we are in some sense `one with' nature and that everything is connected with everything else. Drawing on contemporary cosmology, systems theory and the history of philosophy, Freya Mathews elaborates a new metaphysics of `interconnectedness'. She offers an inspiring vision of the spiritual implications of ecology, which leads to a deepening of our conception of conservation.

This is an OCR edition with typos. Excerpt from book: CHAP. XXI. EXAMINATION OF THE PROOFS OF THE EXISTENCE OF A DIVINITY. No variety, it is said, can arise from a blind physical necessity, which must always be uniform; that the variety we see around us can only proceed from the will and ideas of a necessarily existing being. Why should not this variety arise from natural causes from a self-acting matter, whose motion joins and combines various and analogous, elements Is not a loaf of bread produced from the combination of meal, yest and water. Blind necessity, is a name which we give to a power, with whose energy we are unacquainted. But it is said that the regular movements and admirable order of the universe, and the benefits daily bestowed upon man, announce wisdom and intelligence. Those movements are the necessary effects of the laws of nature which we call either good or bad as they affect ourselves. Animals, it is asserted are a proof of the powerful cause which created them. The power of nature cannot be doubted. Are animals on account of the harmony of their parts, the work of an invisible being ? They are continually changing, and finally perish. If God cannot form them otherwise, he is neither free nor powerful; if he change his mind, he is not immutable; if he allow machines, whom he has created sensible, to experience sorrow, he is destitute of bounty; if he cannot make his works more durable he is deficient in skill. Man who thinks himself the chief work in nature proves either the malice or incapacity of his pretended author. His machine is more subject to derangement than that of other beings. Who, upon theloss of a loved object would not rather be a beast or a stone, than a human being ? Better be an inanimate rock, than a devotee trembling under the yoke of his God, and foreseeing still grea...
